The lad is class aswell. Would be one attracting interest from premier league if not for the two bad injuries imo. He has hardly played but has showed what he is capable of. I Imagine the levels he would have reached with a decent run in the team would have been even higher!
Aye absolutely. I like Hume, but he doesn’t get in ahead of a fit Huggins for me! Oozes quality. Him and Cirkin are both quality footballers
Contract up in the summer and he is not expected to be fit until around Christmas, I'd be trying to get him to sign a one year extension, if he can prove his fitness in that time and get into the squad regularly, no reason not to give him a wage bump and a proper deal. Fantastic footballer, just made of glass.
Absolutely. His injuries are weird too as they’re not “linked”. It’s not like he has torn the same ligaments over and again or pulled the same muscle. When he got fit last year he was awesome. Then he did his knee against Coventry!
That goal as well, I forget who it was against, where he made a run inside and beat a couple of players.
Think we’re blessed with two brilliant RB’s in Hume and Huggins. Both have different qualities, but both are absolute quality. Really feel for Niall, the lad gives everything when he play and never shys away from a tackle which is rare for someone who’s had as many injuries as he’s had. Just have this horrid feeling we’ll not see him play again for us. Hope I’m wrong.
He'll be 24 by the time he is fit enough to play this season, which means he can sign a deal with another team without compensation being owed, it would be unwise to put the player in the team, increase his value and then let him go for nowt.
If RLB ever wanted to play 3 at the back, then Huggins and Hume would be ideal, especially with Hume's ability to step into midfield: Hume-O'Nien-Ballard Huggins____________Cirkin
If everyone is fit I think our back line options are the best we’ve had in years, just hope we get there
I seem to recall Luke Shaw was injured for quite a while early on in his career. Superb full back in my opinion. Would like to think Huggins will get there and he gets in playing regularly.
Unfortunately for Shaw it’s been pretty much every season he’s had injuries. He’s now 29 and not played half as many games as he should’ve. Cracking full back, when fit…
