Loose term! I know far more talented musicians on the local scene. They are good at what they do. Thats about it. Noel is probably a far better guitarist than you ever see, just lazy and every solo is basically the same.
Noel is one of the best songwriters ever TBF mind. Agree about the guitar aspect. The fact they are so different compliment how the band performs and the dynamic just works. Not many bands can last the test of time and hold a country to standstill when they tour.
Noels divorce must have cost a fortune. They'll sell out every gig in minutes and make an absolute fortune I'm not going to bother as I think I'd prefer to remember seeing them when Liam could actually sing.
I take your point. My favourite band is Pink Floyd and for me Gilmour is the best guitarist I have ever heard..the man is a genius. Maybe I should have been more specific like Prefab said and highlighted their song writing ability.
Torn on this one. Would love to see them again but it will be one almighty scrum for tickets and hotels
Reckon they saw Taylor Swift do 8 shows in a row at Wembley and thought they will better it. Hopefully not at Heaton Park as I don't like that venue. I think they'll only do Wembley and Manchester and not a UK tour. Will probably try to go for nostalgia but reckon the support acts may be decent as well.
Got to be in it to win it though. Worth a try. Imagine it's annocument tomorrow with tickets on sale by end of week. Going got £145 standing or something.
Seen him once on his solo tour and it was painful. Everything through his nose and it looked like hard work for him. Naturally his voice will change over time but it's just a no from me, a pale shadow of what he was.
As I said, with oasis tunes and only a couple of month ago, it was absolutely immaculate. I was surprised at how good it was.
Seen clips and that but still not for me. Will always love him for being my 1st major musical hero but I just find it hard to listen to him now, maybe I'm being a bit harsh as well because his solo stuff his dreadful and it's put me off a tad.
Yeah, Heaton Park is garbage. Think I might have seen Oasis and Stone Roses there. Equivalent of them playing Herrington Park. Have to travel in and out of the city to get to it, no infrastructure, rubbish.
Was never about being the best musicians or whatever with Oasis. This was my generation (and I figure a good few of us on here). I was a rave kid. Others were into rock and whatever. Oasis & the Prodigy crossed over and opened a lot of minds and eyes to other sides of music. Techno lads liked Oasis , Rock kids liked the Prodigy. I adore both. They made some absolute banging tunes, catchy, singalong. Don’t underestimate how tidy they were musically as well More than that they influenced changes in culture and united people. They are a mega band and a part of the very fabric of who I am and me and my missus and a load of my pals will do whatever it takes to get tickets to one of these shows. Love him or hate him Lima Gallagher is as much of a frontman as anyone who’s ever lived. Better singers? Absolutely? More textbook ‘I am the man’? Very few. I’ve watched this develop with excitement over last few days and even though I think we all knew the day would come, this has excited me like the first time I touched a pair of real tits.
Seen them a few times bitd Whitley Bay ice rink the pick of the bunch original line up, might make the effort if they play the SOL or local but won't be travelling to see them.
It’s gonna be Heston Park and Wembley, multiple dates I hear. Not a tour. We were at Maine Road, one of best days of my life. Best weekends. Bedlam.
Think so. That's my worry. Don't want to do London but I hate and I mean hate Heaton Park as a venue.
