I've got a few more gigs lined up this year; Weller at Connexin Live in October, Shed Seven at City Hall in November, Paul Heaton in Leeds in November aswell. Plus Lightening Seeds at Welly in December.
Edinburgh gigs today Miriam Margolyes - Superb. Not as sweary as I expected, but a few ****s and a ****face. Smile inducing. Some random young Venezuelan woman teaching English in Spain (Alicia something) Basement of a boozer we were passing on the way somewhere else…for good reason. Some funny moments but needs to learn her comedy chops. Genuinely me and Mrs T were 2/3 of the audience, which was funny in itself and we were all on first name terms after a bit. Jason Byrne - Comedy genius. Seen him on tv a fair bit and liked him, but live he was so, so, much better. Actual tears. Brilliant
Walking between gigs in Edinburgh and seen a woman wearing a half and half Celtic / Rangers shirt!!! Just wandering along with shopping…surely part of an act?! Unbelievable Jeff
Tiff Stevenson - in a basement bar that smelled faintly of vomit. very funny. Alfie Moore - ex Humberside copper, now with a radio 4 show. Seen him several times and always good. Did his show here like his radio show. Very good. Mark Thomas. Proper left wing comedian. Brilliant as usual. Bumped into another City fan there too Tom Stade - Didn’t know anything about him, but went and he was hilarious. Loud Canadien. Coming to Social later in year (as is Mark Thomas again) Off to see the highbrow piece of theatre “Why I stuck a flare up my arse for England’ later.
Just done the flag up your arse show, which was really good, and a ‘comedy’ whodunit…that was the polar opposite of the flag show and was the only thing we’ve walked out of. Just rubbish, but free so no loss.
They might be a few big gigs next year... https://x.com/oasis/status/1827830594882986207?t=cB5-53GyodHLp7-b30Zfaw&s=19
Im a big oasis fan But dunno if im bothered About a reunion Liams voice has been gone for years I can just listen to old recorded songs And itll never be as good as knebworth 90s Noel must want millions after his divorce
I've seen Liam twice in the last couple of years. Once with John Squire at Leeds o2 Academy and once at Etihad on his solo tour. Both times his voice was brilliant.
