Said on radio way to match yesterday they needed to shift another 11 players out before window closed.....thats an amount before Friday!!
I would hope selling Clarke, Aouchich and Ekwah would allow us to shop in a different market to Ligue 2
Quite keen on this lad. Good playmaking abilities but looks like he plays a more structured way than Aouchiche.
Just checked how Isidor has got on this current season at Zenit. played 5 games, all at CF and scored 2 Would you start him against Pompey? I think I would just to take the pressure off of Mayenda
Cannon would be a permanent I think. I’d argue he’s worth less than when Leicester signed him though.
Problem with him right now is, you can tell his confidence isn’t there yet, still panics when he receives the ball. It’ll come with time though and taking him out of the spotlight will help
I agree. Better first but a couple of brain farts second half. Add a proper, ready to play striker yesterday we win by 3
Not totally sold on these young lads from PL academies who go for big money despite having scored minimal goals. £20m for Delap is a lot of money to spend on potential. Cannon, Burstow, Delap.... there is a crazy premium on young, English strikers
Tried to do too much yesterday. He just needs to keep it simple by holding the ball up and bring other players in, working his way into a game. If he calms down the goals will come.
comes across really well here, talks about the type of striker he is etc and how he can’t wait to score his first goal and he likes penalties etc I really like this lad, his confidence is clear to see and we need that upfront
I think they'd probably accept a deal that ends up at £7m with clauses included. £4-5m up front maybe with some promotion and goalscoring clauses in there. Allows them to save face and a Championship club to not absorb as much risk. Not sure he's at the top of our list mind, but I wouldn't be averse to it if we can't get Simic over the line.
It's interesting that this is our target rather than a DMC. I wonder if RLB sees him as a deep lying playmaker rather than a number 10. He seems to see that role as a playmaker position rather than purely a defensive one.
I think he might be up front on Saturday if we don't get someone else in, but I really think he's been brought in to play a little closer to the striker but from the left. I see Cirkin and Roberts giving us the width on the ball with Hume tucking in and Wilson being very direct and looking to get into the box.
