Nothing we've done so far this season suggests we will beat Forest. Whole club seems flat at the moment and I dont know why it's called negative to suggest that, early games against Southampton and Bourbemouth were a great chance to put in some good performances and build momentum, we've got 4 points however we were extremely fortunate to get that. I think we will have a repeat of the boxing day game last year.
You said we were favourites to beat Bournemouth mate. Night time games away from home are always difficult and if you look at Newcastle's record away from home last season you'll not find many wins. It's hard to predict until we see the teams sheets but if Newcastle aren't stronger than Saturday they'll be out.
Yeah I did, that's cos we were. Night time games away from home are just as difficult or easy as any other game.
players always say otherwise. There's no easy games vs prem teams though and when I see people saying 'should' win I think they're over estimating our side and vice versa. Newcastle haven't done anything to suggest they should be beating anyone so far. They need to dramatically improve. Imo if Newcastle don't play the best possible side they have available they'll be in for another difficult night.
What do you mean players say otherwise? Have you held a pole with all the players and aggregated the results? It just a mid week game unde good conditions in Nottingham.... it's hardly Galatassaray! We are favourites to win this, that's not my opinion that's the betting odds. Why would we not play the way possible side? We've done well in this comp in the last few era an Howe knows it's our best chance.
That's what they all say it's common knowledge within the game. Like I say we were favourites on Saturday and didn't win. Clubs rarely play their best possible sides in the cups.
That's all down to the opposition they're playing. If we were playing a League 2 or non league team, then of course we'd put lots of kids in, for this game though, that's too much of a risk, as we want to progress in cups these days. We don't have Europe to worry about, so we can play the full team, Tonali will certainly play.
No it's not unfortunately it's about rotation and making sure they do well in the competition that make the most money. It appears you've decided Newcastle are invincible and I'm afraid I haven't mate.. I'm the opposite. This game is difficult to call and like all last week I will once again air caution around Newcastle's poor away record. The final prediction will come when we see the team sheets.... I'm hoping Newcastle play the best 11 we've got, but it's usually not the case.
Can anyone please explain to me what the odds were of Newcastle drawing Premier League sides in every single draw for a year?
I'm just wondering that as well As Ashley Young was playing for Everton tonight and he got a straight red card on the opening day of the season, so Schar should be available unless the league had suddenly made up another new rule where you are banned if your wear a striped shirt More so if it is black and white striped shirt By the way Young got booked tonight as well, so keeping up his persona as an obnoxious twat
Young got a red for a professional foul which only carries a one match ban. I believe Schar will serve his second ban at Forest then third v Spurs.
