Haven't seen enough of either over a run of competitive games to make that judgment. They have a championship games between them. And besides, a song goes a long way.
Yeah I thought tans comment was but some this morning were saying it sounded like a reference to the gk after reading acun’s interview in the Mail
Baz has said the keeper is "highly rated and coming in on loan" and Acun "Our fans will be surprised". To me that sounds more like a well known player coming from the prem rather than a 33 year old Darlow. I was thinking someone like Petrovic from Chelsea or Turner from Forest. Both started games last year but find themselves 3rd choice now.
Suppose the difference is he was talking about a striker on Friday and teasing the identity of a GK today.
He was highly rated when a lot of fans were squealing that Leeds outbid us only 12 months ago. And 33 isn't that old for a keeper.
If those who actually pay the money felt the same we wouldn't be bringing in a 3rd. You're obviously welcome to your opinion, but it's at odds with the club.
Nah there's two different quotes from Acun regarding GK and ST GK - "I think, be a surprise for our fans. Our fans will be surprised" (by the identity of the other player which Hull Live understands will be a goalkeeper) ST - "The striker that we're going to bring will show everybody how serious we are in this league and again I thank our fans for believing in us,"
I'm not sure I'd call going into a season with 2 GK's with the sum total of 270 championship minutes as sensible, when we can get someone with that experience on a low risk low cost loan.
12 months ago….yes please. Now…just no need…I have confidence in Pandur. The Swiss fella is ample back up
I actually think Pandur could be a better shot stopper than Darlow and certainly reacts alot quicker he also now commands the box better.
Pandur hasn't terrified me like he did in pre season, but I wouldn't say I'm confident in either yet. Both are still massively unproven at the level.
