I don't understand this false rivalry with Leeds U, they do not see us as rivals, in fact we are not even on their radar and why should we as we have have very little history with them? I don't remember many City fans losing sleep when we signed Billy Bremner from leeds and didn't Chris Galvin and Ken De Mange play for them too? I remember a little fella called Stoker who we also signed from them, I bet many on here dont? Did many Leeds fans kick off when Don Revie became thier manager saying '**** that he played for Hull'? It's all rubbish and I know we all know some local knobhead who parades about in a Leeds kit, I just see them as inadequates, and its not so very long back when I read an advert from the 'Hull Whites' asking for car share offers because they could no longer fill a mini bus for games. A fit Liam Cooper is as good as we are going to get on a free transfer and with his size and experience I don't think he's a bad shout. Not many Hull born lads have played Premier League football and those questioning his ability certainly haven't played anywhere near that standard.
I think Dundee are a great team. McCowan would start for Hull. Hearts have got Shankland who is decent. There’s good players in the Scottish Premiership.
There’s no point in signing another GK. It would mean we would need to loan one out. Liam Cooper, Puerta and a RW is all we need.
Signing another keeper without letting one of the current 2, who've both arrived in the last 8 months, go would be utter insanity, for all pre-season filled us with fear, I think Pandur has had a super start to the season, made some good saves and not bad with his feet either....can certainly see why there was an outburst about playing Allsop over him by Acun.....think Cooper is potentially just as crazy a signing, not bothered about the whole ex-City - Leeds links and comments made, more the fact he's 33 has been regularly injured for the past few seasons and reportedly left Leeds because he didn't want to take a big drop in wages......for the first time in a while i'm starting to wonder what is going on with our recruitment!
One of my grandsons is in City academy but tells me he supports Manchester United. Can this board tell me what I should do. Should I disown him?
The fact that he’s demonstrated an ability to play either side should surely be a strong enough reason to keep him around as a good option off the bench. I suppose it will depend on who else we bring in though.
Tell him that he will spend his life never knowing true joy, and will have an unrealistic expectation for success and when success happens he will feel nothing. Should do the trick.
Wond There has rightly been no mention of him going out on loan. He’s taking his chance when he gets it, albeit he was naff in the cup which disappointed me. But in terms of pure wingers we should absolutely be keeping him around. Imagine a tired full back having to play against his pace last 20 or so
