Interesting that he came on rather than Hjelde yesterday. Maybe it was just about balance rather than pecking order but he did seem to come on more on the left. Or did he come on as more of a holding mid (I wasn’t there and it was hard to tell from the footage)?

It has come from the Sunderland Echo like, so expecting Ba to sign a 10 year extension instead.

Ballard came on to make it 5 at the back Triantis as holding mid. Though they were on for such a short time difficult to make it out really they just bolstered the defence for last couple of mins Managed to catch Triantis game up in Scotland last season he looked ok as CDM but very much a defender happier with the game in front of him struggled a bit if he had to take the ball further up the pitch. Probably not the level we need in midfield but A good option to use to see a game out But then again we are spoiled with Neil

Thanks, so hard to see just watching the stream rather than being there.

    Did Ekwah come on too?

Did shouting at the ref 20 yards away get him sent off yesterday?

I was there and thought he chucked Ballard on at the back and sat 09 and Triantis right in front to hoof everything that came.

I hadn’t realised Neil had been booked earlier. I thought it was Rigg

He was booked for kicking the ball away
and for a terrible challenge that he was never going to win.

Same here, a silly challenge in a non threatening area though.

Feel for the bottom two on a human level cos they’re not good enough for us and won’t play. But aren’t generating a lot of interest

Phil smith said yesterday, we have received ZERO offers for ekwah so it’s likely he might not go. Udinese weren’t serious either

Given the choice, I'd rather keep Ekwah and lose Aouichiche.

I still want us to bring in Simic and Mendy. A DMC replacing AA and a right back replacing Pembele and it'll be a perfect window.

I know we've signed Wilson but I think he's flexible. He could rotate some games with Mundle and some games as a second striker. It's a long season and depth/options is the difference between promotion and not.

Especially if we are going to be pressing as hard as we have done so far. When the midweek games start we need to have the ability to change half the team without too much of a quality drop
