    Jarvis.

McLaughlin and Jones good defensively, but need to improve on their distribution going forward. Slater is much better further forward and more centrally, had a better second half.

12.30 kick off and being televised was always likely to knacker the travelling support, but it was surprisingly poor.

Coyle - never stops running and had our best effort on goal
Macca - apart from 1 mistake, thought he was better than in the last 2 games
Jarvis - Looked dangerous when he came on

    It’s strange.

The loud gobshite who sits behind me was waxing lyrical about how Slater had been our best player by a country mile.

Also made it known to everyone that Zambrano was hiding in the midfield and it was like playing with ten men. The consensus I read from the match forum on here was more that he was in space but none of our back four would pass to him.

    Anyhow

Pandur for me only player worth special mention.

Jarvis, looked sharp when he came on and probably his best appearance so far.

Bit of a lacklustre affair to be honest reflecting the 12.30 ko and the flat atmosphere, although the North Stand did try and lift it.
Bedi looked decent when he came on.
Honeyman caught the eye for me from the oppositon, who were spoiling from the start in a typical Millwall sort of way. They will be pleased with the point and the clean sheet. We will be pleased with the clean sheet, not so sure about the point. We were lacking sharpness and aggresion all over the pitch, which with only three games in is becoming a common occurance.
Good crowd for a crap kick off time with only a smattering of away fans, keeping them coming is another matter.

Jarvis looked excellent when he came on, dunno if that’s because the left back was a sh1thouse and slow as a snail. Jarvis had the beating of him every time. Coyle is easily our best player at the minute.

    Slater
    Coyle
    Burstow

First two were easy. Struggled a bit for a third but Burstow was much better than I expected. Always seemed to be in a goalscoring position and was more of a presence up there than I thought he might be. Unlucky not to score immediately before the Slater 'handball' incident.

Pandur again did some things very well but some things quite poorly. Not sure what to make of Zambrano yet. Ömür was far too quiet. Millar was more involved but I already get the sense he's going to be very frustrating. Jarvis' dribbling was probably the best attacking play of anyone on the pitch, but I don't like giving MOTM to a sub.

Bedia I thought looked a right oaf. He did come close with the overhead kick, but his first few touches just bounced right off him, he gave daft fouls away just pointlessly shoving defenders as they passed the ball, he went down softly in our box instead of heading the ball that was absolutely his and we almost conceded from it. Reminded me of Eaves in a lot of ways.
