That was a hard watch. But we came out of it 0-0!

And games like this is why we need players like Alcaraz.

The whole possession at all costs philosophy needs to **** off before it costs Martin his job. We simply cannot play this way in the prem. Not without spending 100s of millions

I mean, it was okay, sort of. Certainly second best. Would be keen to see Fernandes on for Smallbone, who is doing his best JWP sideways and backwards only impression. We need someone more progressive in the midfield (hi Charly). Adarma has been gash. That’s about it.

Yeah, we didn't look out of our depth but we just nothing going forwards.

Someone that can link midfield to attack would be useful. A genuine wide player too.

Oh dear, getting taught a lesson by Forest, mu h quicker in every department, moving the ball, speed of thought. We seem so slow in transition, lack of attacking intent. Feels like we are playing for a 0=0

Well that was pretty ****e. Far too casual on the ball and not looking remotely dangerous going forward.

Alex has had a decent half, even with his feet! Plenty of other culprits there though sadly.

On the plus side Forest have been incredibly wasteful and so we're well in this still. Needs a huge improvement second half.

Get a striker on the pitch!

Forest look good, Ref are giving Forest to many 50/50s.

Smallbone not at his normal best, THB having a shocker, Macca been very good today.

    BBD/Arma getting nothing from us.

We play the ball slowly in front of the opposition when we speed it up we seem to lose it. A big learning curve that first half.

We need a carrier in the midfield and some target upfront centrally - both our strikers are very wide.

Midfield is the problem for me. Not giving good passing options out of defence, no one playing on the turn, very static in general. BBD & Arma getting no service but when they do get it they do nothing with the ball or lose it.
The problem with a back three that includes Stephens, if we went to a back four THB and Bedders are the best combo and will RM do that?

Adarma definitely not at the races today, hopefully RM makes a change or 2 at HT, but at least the crowd are in fine voice.

Although we were second best for the whole half, for the first thirty mins there were glimpses of what we could do, but 30-45 was survival mode.

I feel to play our passing game in the PL you have to be 100% sharp and accurate, at the moment we aren’t.

Smallbone stands out as struggling tbh, KWP our best player by an absolute mile.

New stadium layout so far, doesn’t seem to have made too much difference to our volume yet, feels like we don’t really know quite what to do with the sheer volume of people and maybe we need a bit more of an extensive repertoire…. It has quietened the away fans though.

Yeah, you can see KWP getting frustrated with the lack of movement ahead of him.

So de we know if BBD has been brought in as a winger or a striker? (just so I can set myself up for disappointment at the end of the transfer window)

He won’t do it, but I’d be tempted to bring on Big Les and Fernandes for Smallbone and Aribo. The issue is that Flynn is our most progressive midfielder today, and the only one turning and running at them - and he’s not meant to be that.

I’d keep Aribo on for now, but Smallbone is definitely lagging.

Been my biggest worry going into the season. Where are the goals coming from? We know arma can’t cut it at PL level.

Was hoping he’d carry some confidence into the season but.. he just doesn’t look PL quality again. No shame in it , but just not quite there
