Tough game this one, surprised this wasn't selected for tv considering the two they are showing, but oh well. Brain says a draw but my heart wants a win and to keep a 100% record... Fleetwood 0-1 Gills (Gills can't find a way through, so send in man mountain Ogie)
Will be an interesting affair this. Fleetwood like ourselves have won 2 of their 3 opening games, beating Grimsby 1-0 and knocking out West Brom in the EFL cup. They did concede a late equaliser against Notts County to draw on saturday but what I find interesting about them at the moment is how little they have the ball. In the Grimsby game, they finished with 34% possession. West Brom they finished with 25% possession (although they are 2 leagues above Fleetwood) but against Notts County they recorded just 19.2% possession of the ball. I think we can expect to have more of the ball in the game and its about what we do with it. Hopefully we should have Tim Dieng & Conor Masterson available to give us a couple of more tactical options from what we had against Morecambe. Like Brb my head is saying a draw as they could be hard to break down, but in Mark Bonner we trust. Fleetwood Town 1-2 Gillingham (Graydon; J.Williams & Nolan)
We have lost 6 away, 3 draws, and just one win. Only 4 wins in 17 total matches. Tough one to call, I think we all had high expectations after the first game, scoring so many goals, I fell asleep last weekend, so missed about 50 minutes of the match, but max points away from home is good news. I think they will play defensively as always and hope to score on the break. An away win is my hope, I feel there could be a couple of goals in this.
