The best moment with him was at Man City away when they scored an offside goal, in post match when asked about it Poch just went right ahead and ranted in English while the translator just stood there.
By selling £300m or whatever it is that they did in the last year or 2 It’s the teams without those sales who are spending our transfer record fee multiple times in the same window that is more concerning, especially as we are going to have to finish above one of them minimum to survive
O’Riley to Brighton almost done according to Romano. Not sure why the Saint Matthew thread was closed already but may aswell post it here so it doesn’t get lost
Well yeah but the news literally just broke, surely makes sense for people to post their happiness/frustration/sadness/general opinions about him not signing in there rather than closing it 1 minute after Romano tweeted he’s off to Brighton, otherwise they’re just going to do that in here instead
But it’s not a transfer rumour anymore and actual rumours might get lost That other thread is obviously the place to post about O’Riley related stuff, it’s not a big deal but just seems like common sense to me
Some people have interesting ideas about what constitutes an “argument”. But I guess it is an internet message board where all tone is stripped out of everything written
Interestingly these next two signings for Brighton will suddenly flip them into net loss on transfers over three seasons of €30-40m. I assume there are standard profits and prize money that level this out? But they are going for it properly - completely reshaping their team and squad. It’s like a multi year version of us investing the Van Dijk windfall. With the windfall coming from multiple players - like 7 rather than 1! And their replacements and scouting seem a lot better than ours! But they might be entering “need a big sale territory” soon. But have plenty on the list I would say. But this season seems to be the push. They will be well over £200m. Sort of need champions league to justify it otherwise this league really is too rich for us. Kind of is already it seems
Wasn't he strolling around West Quay on his own a couple of weeks back and stopped for photos with fans?
