Around mid October will be a good time to assess them when they’ve played a few games in front of our home crowd. I could put together a video of Bamford to make him look world class

That’s why nobody believes them. Be interesting how. He adapts to getting beat in the majority of games this season. Will he be able to keep performance levels up or will his head drop

I read because he came up through Charlton and Manchesters youth setups he would qualify as home grown talent

He’d have been good to help us out of this division, is he good enough for the PL second time around, time will tell. Ipswich have spent big on Championship players, it’s like they’re preparing to have the best team in the championship next season.

Either way, Ipswich are trying to help us out, they’re weakening quite a few teams at this level

I agree on the videos, I do like to see what non Leeds fans have to say on social media, the majority feel we’ve bagged a good one, many wanted their clubs to snatch him away from us unaware he’d be available at that price.

Interesting that it said the Leeds Scouts had been watching him, I’ve a feeling this has little to do with Farke.

They're certainly going to be strong when they come back down, that's an impressive championship squad they're building.

I had a quick look on their forum, a few sensible posts between one which suggested challenging for Europe in 2-3 seasons. I guess just like it was for us, and the previous seasons promoted teams, they’re under estimating the task ahead.

You have to question their scouting network, no young talent from overseas, no un-earthing a gem, just players who shone in this division

They’ve about twelve weeks of enjoyment ahead till reality sets in. Let them enjoy it. Might even win a game or two

On Ramzani I read something yesterday that’s not been picked up by our fans or sports media, which would have helped our PR. Ramzani said he was glad to get it done after 30 days. That suggests we were doing this for a month, so the recruitment team had been working afterall. Another thing was that Wolves were quoted £34m for Ramzani last season and were scared off…

They’re convinced Fulham is 3 points in the bag. They’ll all be holding onto the hope players will soon gel, then it will be chance to strengthen in January.

It’s a very strange transfer policy they’ve adopted, just buy the best they can afford in this division, obviously they can’t afford the Archie, Summerville and Rutter type fees.

Everton were too, however I didn’t realise all Spanish clubs have to have a minimum release fee by law. They get around it by setting it high, it was just a case he wasn’t for sale unless the clause was activated

I suppose we might have done something similar had we been promoted. We’d have been in that 15m bracket for Clarke or whoever. After all it’s what we did last time with those 10 to 15 m pound players who were mainly worthless when the crap hit the fan. More proof the gap is huge and probably can’t be bridged

Ah like Jens Cajuste from Napoli, swedish international.
'You have to question their scouting network' .....Our scouts brought in the right players to get us out of league 1, then once again out of the championship (at your expense)
One thinks one is talking utter bollix, jealousy is a very sad trait!!

You think a 25 year old Swedish international playing for Napoli is unearthing a gem, you’ve got him on loan, zero chance of any income. Come back when you’ve got something sensible to add.

Cajuste was set for Brentford, new Napoli boss Conte doesn’t want him. Brentford pulled out and spent £22.5m on Carvalho instead so Cajustes agents frantically offered him around as he wasn’t wanted

You’ve built a team to challenge in the championship, good luck, you’re going to need it.

Have you told everyone over on the Ipswich board how brave you’ve been popping over here yet or not got round to it?

Although I'd say the majority of our signings dropped down to join us when we were in the PL. Only the players for the future (not our future) seemed to be signed from below.

I think £15m for Clarke is really good business for Ipswich, if they're resigning Hutchinson, they'll carry a bit of forward threat albeit unproven at that level. Their problems last year were the other end of the pitch so they'll likely be in for a rough ride but in some enertaining games. And as has been suggested, not a bad championship squad if they can keep it together next year.

Cajuste is on loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season, when we stay up.
    Omari is not from championship
    Johnson is not from championship
Broja is not from the championship
Cajuste is not from the championship
Phillips is not from the championship
Muric was Prem last season, so technically he wasn't from championship
The point you are making is **** mate, you're just a sad, jealous little individual....enjoy your mid table obscurity in the championship, I look forward to reading your bile at the end of the season, when once again, all you arrogant Leeds scum are wrong again!! Poor Leeds, can't compete with lil old Ipswich <laugh><laugh><cheers>

Aiming to beat this, are you?
One of the most unwanted records in English football belongs to Derby County. Their tally of 11 points in the 07/08 season is the worst in Premier League history.

There's no way that will happen to the world's best run club, with the world's best owners, with the world's most together squad of players, cheered on by the world's best supporters, no sir, no way whatsoever.
Europe in 5 years, don't you know.
