Probably primarily through the middle, but I reckon we view the wide players as forwards too.

Like the look of him in the clips. Saying that, an 11am announcement is quite early. Could easily be a double announcement today to soften the blow of losing Jacky boy and get the buzz back for Saturday

I’m no representative for RTG and some of that patter is pretty daft but was told to **** off back to RTG. If it’s not there maybe it’s been deleted- I’m not looking for it.

I’m certainly not on a windup but thought I would post given the importance of selling our best player.

il not be posting much on here again. We all have valid views :)

As much as I would have liked Jack to stay, he’s off and there’s nothing we can do about it.

    There are some positives though:

It’s never good to rely so much on one player and we were doing that quite a lot with Jack. If he got injured or missed games it would be a huge miss for us. Now we must work on multiple options and not just ‘give it to Jack’ to hope something good happens.

A fair few of his goals were penalties.

He was poor against Newcastle and I have a feeling he will not be the success in the Premiership that we think he would have been if he’d went up with us. I hope he does do well but I think he will find it far harder.

We were going to lose him anyway so at least we’ve got our deal. A little low but not that much. It’s not going to make any difference to you or me if we were to get a few £million more for him. If we get 2 or 3 of the strikers we are involved with now because of the Jack fee that would be a good.window.

Spurs will be pleased with their extra cash and would probably look upon us as good to deal with meaning possibly more players from them. They do seem to have a lot of good ones and we’ve done well with their players before.

I’m sure some of you will be able to add to the positives.

Anyway, good luck Jack. You will always be remembered here as one of our ‘good ‘uns’.

Nevermind yeah, RLB in the website is talking about how he can play multiple positions etc. Will be interesting to see where he goes. Let’s hope Simic comes in soon as we need a striker who can properly stick there

    https://www.safc.com/news/2024/august/23/Le-Bris-excited-to-work-with--versatile--Isidor/

Régis Le Bris believes Wilson Isidor will be a strong addition to his group following the forward’s switch to Wearside.

The 23-year-old arrived at the Stadium of Light from Zenit on a season-long loan, with a Club option of making the move permanent.

Speaking to safc.com, the Head Coach outlined the qualities that he believes Isidor possesses.

“Wilson is a versatile attacker who has the ability to play in many different positions,” Le Bris said.

“He is very good at running in behind as well as combining the play, so for us he will be very useful.

“I come from the same region of France as him, so we know each other even though I haven’t coached him before.

“I had the opportunity to work with him last season at Lorient, but in the end it wasn’t possible, so it’s nice to be working with him now at Sunderland.

“At the moment we have some good options, but Wilson’s profile is different, and he will be a good addition to the group.”

Announced at 11 AM, quite early.

Does that mean we've got another announcement later on hopefully?
