They shower less than rival teams’ supporters — and pong more after going to games.

Sixty-seven per cent of Toon fans stink of booze and body odour when they get home, their other halves said.

A fifth — 19 per cent — shower less than three times a week.

Overall, one in three Premier League fans — 34 per cent — return home after a match smelling of booze and sweat.

Researchers found one in ten supporters have rowed with a partner over their post-match pong.

In his last years before he died he had more dealings with us than the mags. Niall Quinn told him there was a seat at the SOL any time he wanted one and he went to quite a lot of our games when he was up to it. I always thought that it shamed them into staging that benefit match for his charity just before he died.

 

Always liked Bobby Robson. An absolute gent of a man. They way those ****s treated him on more than one occasion was shameless.

 

I thought he was a cracking bloke. Not sure how that fits with what we sang about him (pension book / zimmer frame ...) in hindsight though.
