Professional Footballers' Association @PFA Phil Foden is the PFA Players’ Player of the Year please log in to view this image
One from Citeh's academy that has matured into a fine young player under Pep's guidance ... can't imagine anybody on here not being pleased with that ...
The guy just develops talent from within to such a fine extent, the only other manager I can think of in my lifetime to compare him with is Sir Alex (who was the best ever as far as I'm concerned). We can point to players like Foden but there's actually so many of them in and around the team or who they've sold on for massive profit, the generational talent is Pep.
Every season I keep thinking surely Pep can't cope without another top player that's left the club, and every season he still does. Let's be honest here, if it weren't for Pep, Foden's wayward ways would have left him on the scrap heap long ago. But Pep nurtured him and gave him the odd bollocking like a caring father would have. Made him learn to be patient and until he did, left him on the bench, until he learned to prove himself in a more constructive manner for the benefit of the whole team rather than just thimself.
It's a shame Esther Rantzens Hearts of Gold isn't still running or I'd nominate him for his good work. Maybe start a petition for https://www.prideofbritain.com/. Surely all football fans can come together to back this as his works transcend the usualy parochial boundaries.
Savinho is potentially the best winger I've seen since Mahrez ... Cucurella is still dizzy ... ... they sure can spot them ...
I hadn't realised that, what a start for them eh, Liverpool first game then next up Man City, poor sods lol. I didn't see your game so can't judge if Ipswich will dig in or not or just collapse - and I can't really judge City either because Chelsea are, well you know, just Chelsea wannabe's.
Ipswich conceded quite a few last season ... but also scored a lot too ... scoring is much more difficult in the Prem ... conceding on the other hand ...
They tried hard in the first half and we got it wrong tactically in the way we were playing, quick change at half time and we were all over them.
