I guess there's a premium to be paid now with moves becoming more urgent as the window nears closing, but I don't think we would really splash out on a relatively unproven 20 year-old. According to Transfermkt, he's another left footer but has played wide right, which would fit with the preference for inverted wide players.
Paddy Davitt has apparently said that it is not an €11m package, but still a good chunk of the Idah money. He looks an upgrade on Idah as well. Fast, close control, young, will only get (much?) better. Edit ...how many left footed players are we going to sign this window?
Marseille have made offers for at least 3 totally different players, all as loans with obligations to buy. If they're the only club in for Rowe, I don't think they'll pay us anything this summer.
I' m guessing Leeds, with £40 mil incoming, will still be interested and know the price to beat. Celtic, Hull and Pompey are all interested in Kamara who I have not been particularly impressed with so far, so we hopefully get a few, well 2 or 3, million for him.
Or perhaps Wagner never gave the 'young uns' a chance last season was; to put it bluntly they weren't actually good enough? One average season in league 1 and Abu thinks he billy big boots, same for Rowe albeit he's had a few higher level matches, though not exactly set the world alight. There seems to be a mental and disciplinary issues at Carrow Road, which hopefully Hoff & Knapper will (and seems to be getting on top of). More to the point are there any rumours on replacements, for our Danish midfield maestro, who's once again out for a number of weeks. judging by the clubs recent hints, assume I'm barking up the wrong tree here?
Bad attitude from Kamara, Portsmouth won't match the club's asking price so he could be left to rot in the youth set up like Cantwell. Personally I would suspend Rowe & Kamara, they have achieved nothing but acting like brats . Very unhelpful for a new coach & so ungrateful & selfish. Max Aarons was touted to go to Barcelona & Bayern , he just carried on like the professional gentleman he is, Buendia , Sara, Omobamidele & Godfrey too . Great servants & brought in much needed revenue. This puts us in a weaker bargaining position when the buying club knows the players want out they will lever that , but just like Celtic, put up or shut up . They are our players under contract if you don't meet the evaluation then off you pop
Crnac is, I understand, a winger. Are there any rumours that I may have missed concerning another striker?
Transfer market dot com have hin down as a CF & the videos show him running down the middle doing little tricks & passing diagonally forward. Plus he's tall for a winger at 1 metre 90 centimetres https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ante-crnac/profil/spieler/580635
According to TransferMarkt Crnac is a striker who can also play out wide on either side. At 20, this would seem to be a sizable gamble given the money involved. He could be great or he could be another Strihavka, although that was a loan deal. With Rowe and Kamara defecting, the squad seems to be unraveling day by day and threatening to take the new project with it.
I don't know the ins and outs but Kamara putting in a transfer request following a match day is very different to announcing you're not interested to play one hour before a game like Rowe did. Still surprised that he (Kamara) wants out given the circumstances tho.
Got a feeling I've seen some Euro journalists including the salary component when they talk about transfer "packages". So take at least another mill off that price for his wages, (probably more).
Two reports I have just seen of PL interest, one states West Ham in negotiations and another states two unnamed PL clubs interested. Add in Marseilles and Rennes plus Serie A interest Get a good auction going, what's not to like. Starting price should now be £20m.
Do you think Gabe Forsyth sees the squad as unravelling Rick? And the new project with it? Kamara has already had several opportunities to push himself forward and upwards, but hasn't seized them. The pitch is where he needs to do his talking.
Kamara seems to be another Cantwell - thinks he is better than he really is. Just let him go and like Cantwell he will end up as a nobody. Rowe has burnt his bridges so let him go to the highest bidder but not to Marseille on a go now pay later basis. They have always been a dodgy Club and I wouldn't trust them to meet the ' obligation to buy ' bit of the deal if he wasn't an immediate success. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them which is not far out of a two hour drive from my house!! Can't see Farke wanting to take on potential trouble but Rennes have the money to pay up front. According to the European sports media I have seen Crnak has near enough signed
Well, the Rowe deal is, to all intents and purposes, done according to the Pink'Un: "The finishing touches are being put on a deal that will see Norwich earn a guaranteed £14m, including a loan fee, as well as a potential £3m worth of add-ons brd on both player and club performance. City have also inserted a 25pc sell-on clause into the deal." As in the case of Idah, I think that is a pretty satisfactory outcome (barring 1950canary's reservations being realised). Rowe had the opportunity to apologise to his teammates and reintegrate himself into the squad. He was determined to go, so better gone.
Also from the Pink'Un, Ante Crnac is having his medical this afternoon, with the deal expected to be completed tomorrow and maybe registered in time for Saturday.
