Don’t want to sound negative, but Halls done very little in my eyes to warrant the left back position as his. One for the future certainly, but not convinced he is for now.

He didn't play until the last month of the season and got player of the month. Makes a few errors but he's young.

Wouldn't have won if he didn't clear it off the line on Saturday and he was on a yellow ages and wasn't daft

Personally I think he's been excellent and will only get better and better now.

The problem is that’s £30m spent on top of Kelly’s wages and Targett being on £100k pw. This is why I dont rate the “slightly upgrade our subs” policy we have recently adopted, rather than going all out to get the best option we can in each position - something we clearly tried to do a year earlier and right at the start with Isak, Botman, Bruno.

I don’t mind Murphy as a sub, but why’s he still first choice. I like Hall as a sub, but is Kelly a huge leap forward? On a side note that quote I read made me cringe - that when Howe and Kelly met all they said was “unfinished business”. What the ****? What unfinished business did they have at Bournemouth exactly? Regaining promotion?! Jesus.

I’m just tired of hearing how difficult our club - and it’s only our club - finds it to improve.

    Me too.

We can’t sell Miggy because no one wants him. He’s a nice lad an all. Murphy to an extent is ahead of him in the pecking order.

Sure but we didn’t sell Targett and found £30m for Hall. Then found wages for Kelly. So I don’t buy the bollocks being pedalled by the club.

We didn’t sell Wilson, signed Osula. I mean Chelsea have 50 ****ing players so this notion that we simply must sell doesn’t wash at all.

Interesting that at the time i posted it was well before any of the rumours started.

I even went as far to say that it was random but he knew it somehow.

You’re not the only team don’t worry. We’ve signed no one and has Slot say that is hard because there’s only a small handful of players in world football who would improve us…

I thought Hall has played well consistently, which is brilliant for his age.

I actually thought we’d go and spend a fair bit this window, with the chanpions league money, adidas and a few other sponsorships. I know Mitchell must’ve run the rule over a few targets, but they’re making took difficult.
The likes of Isak, Gordon, Bruno etc, want to be playing higher and we need to match that expectation

Yeah, if it's really still to do with PSR after those deals, then we need to go to the next level with mega deals for stadium naming rights, etc.

If it's that Mitchell and team haven't delivered, then maybe thwy just needed a bit more time. At least that would indicate the money is there for the next window.

If, as some suggest, Howe is stepping in too much and not letting go of his old guard and only wanting PL experience, then he simply won't last this full season unless he performs miracles, as the club won't move forward.

BUT, this transfer window isn't over yet.
We might just have the craziest transfer deadline day ever.

    Get your popcorn delivery sorted.

We clearly have some money if we offered £50m for Olise and £65m for Guehi.

Whilst I'm still positive we'll strengthen I do worry that we put all our eggs in 1 basket.

Yeah. I had hoped we would have offloaded 3 or 4 more by now, to cut wages and gain some transfer kitty for more spending (even if fairly minimal), but nobody seems to want to leave.
