Listened to their Monday pod for a laugh. Within the first 3 mins of the pod "Hard to find anything to be negative about" [err....why would you be looking for something negative?] "need 4 players in because we are really light in central midfield" "Jobe and Rigg can't play all season, they'll be worn our like Dan Neil was" "need 2 strikers in because Rusyn isn't good enough" "huge difference between the 1st and 2nd XIs [think you'll find this is the same for every team apart from Man City] "Mayenda's goal was good, but it was handed to him on a plate" "Ekwah was average last season because they flogged him to death" Literally every positive has a negative spin...
A goal contribution every 155 minutes last season isn't bang average. Beating Bundesliga clubs to sign him is a huge sign that he's pretty good which I agree with, his data is what you want in a forward and his shot placement is good. This player himself is just an example though, would it not be great to be in the mix for players at that price? Our recruitment team have done a great job with relative peanuts (I seen someone say that the starting 11 on Saturday cost £5m, not sure if that's correct), so think about how good a job they'd do with a big budget.
they are embarrassing, there is a few accounts on twitter with similar views they are like a little clique. Always a negative spin, that @MiserableMackem is one of the worst
There's some accounts that posted constantly about the Preston defeat on Tuesday but have barely mentioned the Sheff Wed game. Strange characters.
Really good player at this level but where does he play for us? He's a right winger who cuts in onto his left, doubt we'd be signing him as a bench option.
We'd of got a 'decent' amount for him as hes played a good amount of minutes at championship level However, him signing the contract alone added £10 million to that fee imo. If he plays like he did on Saturday for 75% of his games this season then we will be able to price him at £30 million +
All amount how you spend the money i suppose A lot of it depends on how much money we have to spend in the 1st place - if our budget is £5 million but room for loans n frees then we have a good enough starting 11 that i dont think we need to sell to kick on Thats why weve gone the youngster route, as in theory they should improve yr on yr and make us naturally better n stronger However, i also totally get that selling 1 player for big money could bring in 3 or 4 really quality replacements Recruitment is so tough, and theres not 1 way to do it. This next 2 weeks is massive for us on the recruitment front as we need that striker n we need a bit more depth to the squad
Exclusive FM: where is the Alexandre Mendy case? ⚪️ #Championship #SMCaen ▪️ Alexandre Mendy's entourage hopes for a quick outcome and is counting on the new management of SM Caen to finalize the deal ▪️ Sunderland have increased their initial offer (amount between 2 and 3M € including bonuses) ▪️ despite new interests (Lecce, Sampdoria, Salernitana), the player wants to join Sunderland -> https://rb.gy/5bpy50 @footmercato
Never listened to it n never will, just dont get it at all As for Mayenda's goal being handed to him in a plate i think they need to go back n watch his movement as Rigg passes the ball to Clarke - proper quality CF movement
I'm not bashing the club just want to make that clear. I think I just don't understand the talk of sustainability but then not being sustainable. Recruitment is very tough but gets easier the more money you have, the recruitment team have done a superb job with practically nothing to work with so I guess i'm just excited to see what we could potentially do with a big budget.
They're just following their miserable agenda as always. Don't understand why anyone takes any notice.
