I have it running through my head that transfer embargos generally allow a 1 out, 1 in feature. I'm sure I remember it from a couple of UK teams, but perhaps that was an england-only facility, or even narrower than that (e.g. dependant on extent of naughtiness).
**** him. Did you see him taking the piss out of us despite his farewell message (probably written by his PR team). ****er.
No, I didn’t see it Most Brighton fans on social media are saying they feel robbed, he is okay against lesser opponents but not good enough to improve their team. Edit** Just found it, “Don’t go to bed yet” video
In fairness to the video, Brighton would have prepared or directed it, Rutter wouldn’t have a clue the meaning behind it as it was 10 years ago now. They should have done a white smoke video
We are a feeder club for the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth. That won’t change. We’re only bigger than them in our heads. Personally I have zero interest in the setup anymore because it’s clear it won’t be changing except maybe in fantasy football threads
Lots of talk about ambition and premier league followed by stability and European football by the 49ers. Yet a simple task of getting a LB after weeks of the window been open is too much for our hard working recruitment department. However they have brought in £120m this month so far. Lots of explaining to do in the next 10 days! Village teams like Wolves, Bournemouth, Brighton have stability in the premier league……..
They announced his signature just before 10pm they asked him to do a video social media post saying don’t go to bed yet, makes sense to me.
I very much doubt that the Leeds of old will ever return unfortunately, we've had our glory days and whilst I was fortunate to witness them in person I will have to live on the memories...we should change the marching on together anthem to the more appropriate falling apart ditty ....good luck to Brighton and Bournemouth enjoy it while you can .... meanwhile Clarke 1-0
Maybe we should invest better in the scouts and coaches, those teams seem to excel in that area. I’m amazed Brighton have paid £40m for Rutter to be honest with you. If I were a Brighton fan I’d be worried we’d blown £40m
My guy get little to nothing nowadays Doc, sorry can't help. The one last bit he did get and from a very reliable source was, the main poison and sneaky prick was Harrison. Apparently a real two faced ****er.
I think, we’re all just on edge a bit and taking everything personal. We built our hopes up, we watched Portsmouth score three against our defence, we watched Boro take us apart, we watched a bore draw against WBA and we’ve watched a lot of money come in with transfers and the incomings have ground to a halt. Fans on social media are listening to click bait snippets and spreading false gossip that’s spreading through us all like a disease.. Doom and gloom again that we just about broke even on Rutter and have to pay a sell on fee. Confirmed last night, and again this morning, that we only paid £25m, none of the £10m add ons were triggered, no sell on fee, a clear £15m profit. We are our own worse enemy at times. Let’s judge when the window closes, annoying as hell that we haven’t acted sooner in the market but let’s see who comes in.
One big worry the majority of us had if we went up was, were the squad good enough, that included Rutter and Summerville, personally I think both will take time to adapt, both very skillful players but Summerville is too lightweight and Rutter is too gung ho, at present anyway.
Makes no difference when we can't even keep the good ones longer than a season. Some of you will be having very same discussions in a decade. Now Im going to do the decent thing and post sparingly. Understandably you guys want to dream and hope and Ive no intentions of dragging down peoples moods because of what I hopefully wrongly believe
True Rich, some of ours are happiest when they're spreading doom and gloom. They look at something and take a negative from it, regardless
Mate, at the end of last season, you said several times “None of them are good enough for the Premier League”. Gessa has just posted similar, it was a concern. I’ve posted a few times, Summerville and Rutter in the same Leeds team is a luxury, both with talent but both with huge weaknesses. No good having a 9/10 player for two weeks then 4/10 the next three, at this level you need more 7/10 players week in week out. Summerville will flop in the PL and Rutter could go either way. IF the window closes and we’ve spent £10m on one player and we start turning to Wiki to see who the two loans are, I’ll turn on the 49ers. Let’s wait and see, it’s not worth worrying about as we can’t change it, they’ll have a plan, we just have to see what it is. I’d be amazed if the plan wasn’t spend what’s required to put on a promotion challenge. If I’m wrong I’ll bash them and put them in the Cellino, GFH and Bates jar
