Fulham? Interesting. United fans were in the process of talking themselves into him being a good signing for their midfield.

 

Will barely scratch the surface in terms of squad depth in the Championship.

I meanr people were saying “ why would he want to go to leeds”

 

Jack Clarke wants to play PL football. If he can't get it here, he'll go elsewhere. For that reason, I don't understand these Leeds links.

Leeds have sold Rutter to Brighton so that’s more money for them and more need as well if they want to up their bid.

 

They have quite a few gaps in their squad now so cant see them spending 25 million (or however much we are asking for) on 1 player - championship clubs just dont normally do that

 

indeed - I think the record signing in the championship is like £15m isn’t it?

 

I just don’t think they’ll spend that much ch second season down. He’ll want a 20odd million players wages with it and they’ll be feeling the second season down feeling. They’ll not have to spend that much to get a decent player or 3.

 

They bid 7 for Rowe.

No way they pay 20 plus for Jacky.

 

I’m still not convinced, £25 million is a lot to spend on one player in the championship

 

but would they be willing to commit £25m to a single signing? It's not the PL
