    Did you know Phil Scolari went on record in 2002 that he would throw out a player from his team who he considered to be gay?

    Crazy stuff...

    Which leads me to beg the question: Should footballers remain in the closet, due to the obviously bigoted football supporters out there who would give them hell? I mean, Graeme Le Saux got an awful time and he was married with kids! :O

    I think the only way the sport can progress is if a well known, admired footballer comes out as gay. Someone who already has the respect of many fans, which would help other to come out too.

    Gay has no place in mens sport, they are basically ladies so they should play netball or rounders.
