Late to the parade, knew this would be a tough game, but 2-0 down already, perhaps a "good" 2-2 draw in the works if we could only figure out how to score? Soon off for my 40 lap, 25m outdoor pool swim (every day), 1 km, perhaps a pleasant surprise upon my return, but not holding my breath!
We have a good manager. We still have players who have the trauma of the last few seasons. Give it time, we will 'click,' especially with some good news players. When we get into the swing of things, we're going to be a good team. We have a diverse team, too. Different types of players for different scenarios.
....and just why did we allow our crowd favourite, and bull in a china store Goliath to leave? At least he always kept working hard, trying something. On GD we are currently bottom of the league, familiar territory, so another one of "those" seasons ahead?
Fully agree it's early doors but so far shipping 5 goals in 2 games not exactly the way forward We all know how a 'losing streak' can affect the players mindset Let's hope once all the new arrivals are fully fit and firing we can compete because currently we are nowhere near competing
You should hold your breath, isn't that one of the basics required for swimming? I'll get my coat. 2-0 and no shots on target after 30 minutes doesn't sound good...the only hope we have is on the bench...got nothing to lose so why not go two up front and put Celar on, and see how it's going...having watched him in our first game I think he needs to play off someone, so try him upfront with Frey. If no goals at sixty minutes put Saito on and see what he can do as well.
Two other thoughts: I love that we've kept Field. Immense player. One of our best. Paal... I don't get what people see in him. Poor decision making, watches the ball whilst players triangle pass around him. He was good when we were crap before Cifuentes arrived. Has turned to crap since we became good.
