Good morning everyone All this talk of team togetherness (or lack of it), i trace it back to when that started to deteriorate, and that was when Alioski left, christ we miss a player like that in the dressing room.
Back on Parag the contracts maestro for the 49ers. Whichever way you look at it Leeds decided to sell Rutter for the money. Mr Contracts knew the £40m trigger months ago and even though Brighton made a couple of bids for Rutter he did nothing about getting a new deal in place and getting the trigger raised. No because he knew Rutter would get a pay rise so did nothing and allowed it to happen. We are not been told the truth and in fact are being lied to
Erikssen told to find another club by Manure. That would be a great freebie. Maybe another Strachan or Pablo?
Glad you can see it too Doc. Id be curious too how many of the deals are a once off payment or staggered. If once offs, the 49ers will shortly have recouped everything they paid for the club. Will be able to turn a nice profit when sold regardless what division were in
Their problem is they've bought no PL experience, other than Phillips who is done with football, his heads gone and his fitness is way off PL standard, unless he's took it upon himself to get fitter. One of Pep's criticisms of him was his lack of fitness and his unwillingness to improve it. He was a disaster at WH.
Trying to stay positive. We've been guilty of missing chances for years. After Saturdays frustrating draw I said, in the heat of the moment, that I wouldn't be bothered if we sold any of our front 4. Georginios record in front of goal is woeful. Maybe we get someone who scores 15 goals a season from 10. The lost assists should come from a combination of Joseph, Firpo and Bogle becoming more prominent along with the added creativity of Rothwell and hopefully a decent 8 like Lubicic coming in.
To quote Troy Hawke - Sir…your voice echoes through time and space with a poise and elegance unmatched by greeters the world over. Your words are musical notes of inspiration that sing through the ether of life with gusto and inspire us to triumph in all our industrious efforts. Have at it
I don’t usually follow ex-players but I’ll be interested to see how Summerville and Rutter get on. West Ham have bought a lot of players and Brighton have spent big on other midfielders. I suspect they’ll need to hit the ground running or be ready for a spell on the bench.
