Remember when the hierarchy said the immortal words, 'The days of NUFC being held to ransom and paying over the top on agent fees are over'.....?

Well figures have been released as to how much clubs spent on agent fees from Oct 1st 2010 to 30 Sep 2011....and the results are:

    1) Man City £9.6m
    2) Spurs £7.5m
    3) Liverpool £7m
    4) Chelsea £6.4m
    5) Newcastle £6.3m
    .....
    20) Swansea £250k

£71 million spent in total...............I really should be a football agent.

Make of this what you will. Obviously a couple of free transfers in Ba and Marveaux will have contributed to this. However when you consider the £££ the top 4 teams have spent on players and the sheer volume of players brought in for some clubs....our fees seem huge in comparison.

(if you're wondering where I got this from, I have just seen it from Henry Winter on Twitter. Also this is the link to Premier League where it has come from http://www2.premierleague.com/conte...cations/other/pl-club-agents-fees-2010-11.pdf)

I don't think anyone disputes they aren't free in total.

That's pretty much free (in football terms) when you consider we had £35 mil and the £6 mil covers about 12 contracts

All of the agents fees will have came out of that 35m though, as well as a fee for the player himself.

Well why bother discussing transfer money with people that think a transfer fee is all that clubs pay out......? (I dont genuinely believe lots of people think this, even in this place)

Amy's new contract probably netted his agent a nice wedge too.

We also spent £2.4 million last season....which was more than Man Utd & Villa notably.

How much did you pay agent Bruce for ****ing up the Mackems?
He clearly wasn't cheap as he did such a good job.
