ATM it looks as though the best we can expect is another season of marking time in L1. Let's hope that the game on SAturday gives us a more positive vibe, because another season of watching away fans celebrating will see growing disillusion and decreasing attendances. It would also increase the risk of the anonymous Cayman islanders pulling their money ahrt. NJ must know his strongest team, and if it contains Gillesphey we won't be cutting out the defensive errors which dogged us last season. If we still had the fans' sofa I'd be watching the game from behind it.

My prediction - we will end up subsidising his wages to enable a Scottish club to take him off our hands, meaning that we will have even less money for his replacement. Fraser is a No.10 as well, albeit a bad one. A Moderator on another forum once repeatedly told us that Fraser was a class player and a cut above League One - he is anything but. He also occupies the one position in the team where we are crying out for genuine quality before the season kicks off.

What I don't understand is how exactly is PR Pete reducing your costs - he was up front after the aquisition and told you that his remit was to reduce the £6M losses per year. You don't do that by replacing £4K per week players like May, Dobson and CBT with £8K per week players like Godden, Berry, and Docherty. You don't increase revenue by giving away 1,000 tickets every home game to University students and Greenwich Borough's benefit scroungers.
Our millllllll mate forgot to mention the salary Jones is being paid. I bet he's near to 10k a week, although of course it is a necessity getting a coup for this level, with it comes a bigger salary so hopefully a sensible investment.
