Pretty much what I said in my post. However, Klopp couldn't say he wanted a player and sign him, he still needed the others to agree too. Ie, nothing could happen WITHOUT Klopp's agreement but nor Klopp do anything WITHOUT the others agreeing too
I think the only factor that stopped Klopp signing a player he wanted was money, not eg a data analyst telling him no. Anyway, fact remains Klopp had the final say.
A veto is not the final say. What klopp had was the last word. He put a few players out to dry that were bought by the club. minamino, carvalho and probably a couple others. Not that many but there were some "value buys" I'd say he didn't push back on but didn't bother to make work in the slightest. Right now a new power dynamic is emerging at lfc. Only time will tell of its a pivot away from the grand plan. There's nothing wrong with a bit of blood letting par se. You can always have too many players, too many hopefuls blocking the chances of others and a reset is not harm.
