So, is this increasing the stadium capacity, or just providing more corporate, which I know will provide a bit more?
Any idea when these will be coming out publicly from the club? It'll be interesting to see the plans and the timescale.
I was told by someone that they had seen the plans for the stadium on the 25th of July 2023. This has been on the cards for well over a year. Real future planing. I'll hoy a screen shot up but keep the persons name out of it.
I saw an interview with Sir Bob Murray a couple of years back. He was asked a direct question about if we were ever in for Ibrahimovic. He said that we weren’t and no approach was ever made by the club.
There was a feasibility study done on behalf of FPP after they'd agreed a deal with Donald. The day after they were pictured waving to the crowd inside the SOL, Wimbledon game iirc, they went down to Spurs to check out their ground, hospitality, catering, etc. They'd been appalled at the corporate facilities at the SOL and wanted big changes having previously been impressed with SJP it seems. They also wanted changes to the club shop/ticket office, club badge, Sheepfolds, approach to the ground and of course state of the art gold plated monorail, etc* ... apparently one of their little helpers had done a walk, from the train station to the ground. Having crossed the bridge the satnav advised them to turn left, at the Deaf Club, and up the back alley behind the Victory ... ... that may have been what scuppered the deal *All posted at the time.
Yeah, left the bit about the sliding Spurs pitch out, waiting to hear if anyone else has heard the same. Hoying a premier concourse on top of the existing East stand is going to add a hell of a lot more capacity, even after loosing part of the back if the South stand for the new gid massive corporate section. Edit, and forgot, the black cats house is getting levelled for a gid big massive new hotel Blond Likes a gid big massive one
That particular Flo Blow, was softened by signing Marcus Stewart at the same time. Loved that little fella.
Likely reduce it slightly, as is quite common. Madrid just did it. Reduced their capacity for corporate. I mean they reduced it by ONE seat, but still counts.
Sounds about right for them. They believe the Saudis give 2 ****s about them then that’s standard for them an arl.
Disagree, hoy a premier on top of the east and capacity will increase. I see rubberface copied my post otr, the rest all said we are mad bassas over here, then one, halfpast3 or summit posted "Not sure what’s being done or planned but could be something in it. They lost out on Taylor Swift over it not having enough corporate"
I think increasing would be absolutely ridiculous at this time in any regard, the stadium is designed to be expanded though so we see.’ Atmosphere was far better before the North extension was built.
Aye, I mean we seem to have a bigger ‘hardcore’ following now than when we were PL bizarrely. So if we do get back you’d expect house full most weeks. Was often half empty in the last couple PL seasons. Think folk had had enough. League One was grim but it didn’t half galvanize a load of the fan base behind the club.
Attracting another 10,000 'day trippers' wouldn't help the atmosphere. I was tut-tutted last season, in the East Stand, by a woman with two children who actually turned round to admonish me ... ... apparently shouting 'Get into them' at full blast is excessive I moved.
