Don't really notice the name of the posters unless it's someone who is on loads. Don't really mind what anyone posts. I can see both extremes - we have been badly let down but as always, have potential and are not too far away from being a decent team. Therefore, I understand both the criticism and the praise and think we need both on our forum at the moment.
I think you’re all a bunch of knobs . Seriously though, it’s decent on here. The only thing I find is by the time I get round to posting someone has already said it so I usually just leave it. I was on the forum a long time ago under a couple of different names then left because there was a time when people were just getting arsey with each other and a bit vitriolic. I joined the forum run by Cyprussyd which was a very pleasant little place. That folded and I came back. Things had improved. Used to be a couple of non Sunderland fans on here whose posts were also welcome - a Man City fan and dare I say it a Newcastle fan. There might have been a Man U fan along time ago. Posters I don’t get are those that are constantly sniping at the club. Criticism I get and I’ve had disagreements with a few but it’s a forum for all views. For me, no joy in being miserable though and whatever division we’re in we just try to look at the positives and enjoy my match day.
I’ve only been here a few years but I enjoy the discussions regardless of differences of opinions. We all want what’s best for Sunderland albeit some maybe want the end goal quicker than others or see a different end goal for the club. I am fully aware that I’m a miserable pessimistic bastard and others here are the polar opposite always looking for positives, yet on RTG I’d probably be seen as optimistic compared to some of the knackers posting on there
I left RTG after being there since 2005, the usual wums and bullies get away with "banter" (bullying) and nothing is done about it. Spug and his many alter egos should have been banned years ago. On saying that there are still some great lads across there that I have met over the years, Daddyo, Wilfy, Baz Siddal, Dodgy, Tunstal Birdman, Nookie Bear, Josie Ann all top top people, most have left because of the **** theyve endured. No problem with anyone here.
Like many, I joined in 2019 after RTG became overly toxic...made me angry to just look on there at times and this place is night and day in comparison. I only know a couple of people on here personally but the vast majority seem to be decent.
Been here since 2011 although not a massive poster I generally stick to the match day threads and scan the transfer threads hoping for a few little nuggets of info. Dont think ive ever fallen out with anyone on here. Maybe as i dont post as often as some. Ive had some disagreements with folk about certain things but nothing where i would say ive fallen out with anyone (im generally quite placid and generally pretty unoffendable even if you mean to i tend not to take it that way). We've all been frustrated and posted daft things at times we'll i have anyway but it's only because we care (not the wums but there generally easily identfiable.) Anyway I'm rambling now ive not met anyone from here but would have no issues ever doing so and i know there are some generally good guys on here who would go out there way for other posters.
RTG is like going out on a works do, you have a good time but you can’t quite let go because you never know if you can quite trust some folk. here is like going out with your trusted circle, you can also wear your comfy pants and crappy t shirt without being judged too harshly (you will still get judged though as is quite right) I remember the little picture toasts we’ve all done over the years with the take over and promotion and it was bloody lovely
Been here since 2011, came over from the bbc site when it closed. I love this forum, not a day goes by without me reading it, don’t post a lot but enjoy reading. I mod even less, in fact I can’t remember ever having to mod anything, so if someone fancies taking over from me let me know. We’ve lost a lot of good posters over the years too, I often wonder what they’re up to.
I think the vast majority of you are absolutely average and the fkrs I have met for a gargle are a waste of a good skin . Seriously though this board takes up a fair amount of my time as I enjoy it AND you lot. I especially enjoy the match threads, the off topic joke section and as been mentioned the bloody transfer striker hunt. There is a good cameraderie on here and long may it continue.
