My missus still plays everyday and usually tops my score, she does use a different word daily and is very random.
She stopped playing in this group as she felt under pressure to do well which is nonsense but she won't budge.
As others have said it's a bit of fun and we do it for a laugh, thing I notice is we're usually early posters which suggests like me a lot are retired, or have too much time on our hands.<laugh>

I used to do it just after midnight, every night....I was always up late. Past few months though ive been bloody knackered and rarely up till then, so do it about 7.30/8am ish when I get to work.

Your good lady is class at it, I've left her record score on the weekly chart as a reminder of how good she is.

Happy with my par. Started slowly with just 1 yellow.

I use a different starting word each day. Always random, whatever comes into my head. Most of the time it doesn't work.

If you look at things in the news it can often give you an idea where to start words from as on occasion it may be relevant but not always.

    Eagles are up over Cumbria.
Juicey a vowel, I don't know why but I straight away guessed the last two letters, took a bit of time to sort out what went next but I got there to sink my eagle putt.

I do it. Not as much fun. Again, it's American so I struggle with some of their words/meanings.

It can be glitchy at times as well today I got the blue set right and it said Noo then when the answers came up at the end sure enough I’d been right. It’s not as much fun but gets the brain moving on a morning
