I have them every weekend im childfree because i get down and depressed and miss my lads. Youll notice the pattern on here from when i dont have them
Tell you what though, we are gonna be laughing we didn't sell Jobe this summer, he's developed as I'd hoped. He's cut out some of his poor habits and he's looking a lot more assured with his body. The hundreds who rightfully said (IMHO) that he should've been rested at times last season are gonna be ecstatic with the way he's looking.
It's all patterns mate, I notice them all the time and usually know when you're off your game. Lots of people have problems of one kind or another and it shows on here. There's also the pattern of newcomers who pretend to be genuine, start off looking OK and people welcome them to the board. But I've already realised they're snide and when I give my opinion people jump on me. But sure enough these new 'Sunderland' supporters have a few digs and vanish. But the idea remains that I just attack new posters for absolutely no reason
Yeah its there to be seen with me mate when i dont have my lads i struggle alot and my emotions flip upside down especially when it goes beyond football and posters personally attack me and bring up stuff that has nothing to do with the subject like Instagram posts. I have my lads tomorrow straight from work so ill be much happier and content again.
From the unders final last season I would think Lankshire would be way more robust. He seemed to enjoy the physical side of the game and obviously knows how to score goals, I would definitely take him over Jebbison
exactly why this season it’s important not to burn Rigg out but also give him a good amount of games to continue his development. Noticed when he came on at the weekend he looks like he’s bulked up, think playing around 50/60% of the games this season will do him wonders.
Isn’t Ballard injured till mid September? Would say it’s a possibility in January, not now in the summer when he’s probably injured for the full transfer window.
He was very good on Saturday. Hes 18, so I'm sure theres still times where he'll blow hot and cold. It seems many of our fans struggle with the concept of patience and understanding that supporting a young player breeds confidence but over the top criticism will just breed anxiety, and the player won't try stuff.
Looks like stansfield will be going to Stoke so can cross him off the list too, mendy and lankshear seem the obvious ones now, que left field link any second now
Stansfield certainly would have been an option, but not as main striker. Not sure Fulham would loan him without assurances on playing time. Not totally convinced a PL loan is the way we should be going - Mayenda and Rusyn have (IMHO) shown enough to suggest they can develop into effective strikers in this division. If someone like Mendy can play the main striker role and take the pressure off those 2 then I think that works.
All of this depends how quickly you'd like us to be in the PL I suppose. Bringing in a PL loan, or two, and a 30yo £3/4m striker might get us up this season followed by a rebuild through the close season and an attempt to sign players who know there's a good chance of relegation. It also means the two PL loans, and a 31yo striker, may no longer be there or up to the PL. They've also managed to prevent two or three of our younger players, like Mayenda, Aouchiche, Mundle, whoever from improving. Or we can keep developing them, keep the team spirit together and go up ready for the battle. Both options may fail but with Plan B you can keep the team together and use another season's experience to your advantage. I'd take either but I think Plan B is better in the long term ... ... all I need is patience, NOW!!!
I think although am hopefully very wrong, that I’d prefer Stansfield than Mendy. Knows the league. And we know he can perform in the league.
My only thing is with Stansfield, he's not quite the focal point we need who can hold the ball up etc is he. Wouldn't moan if we got him like but I feel like Mendy would suit us more? Idk just my thoughts
They’re very valid thoughts. It’s a toss up between the risk of signing somebody who’s completely new to the league versus knowing they’ve got the skill set to be a success. I’m not a risk taker. I think it’s very fair to say Speakman is.
