I had my first last year ,and like you I was terrified of it. My anxiety levels were through the roof ,arrived at Castle Hill almost shaking. After an introduction of how it works and what to expect I was gowned and placed in the machine. They give you a buzzer to hold in case of wanting * to get out . After a couple of minutes acclimatising to my surroundings I heard a voice in my headphones “asking if everything was ok in there Mr Milner “ Just woke me up mate was my reply, there is nothing really to it honestly. It’s one of those the worry before hand is always worse than the actual experience.
I’d did a session like that. Biggest problem was sitting back up afterwards. My back had fully seized up. Glad you got through it, hope the results are all good!!
wow….only scan I’ve ever had was in & out in 10min! Was very noisy, lots of loud clicking if I’m recalling correctly
Nice little update. I got my act together. Rejigged around my CV to highlight my diploma achievement. And I've just been for a job interview. Potentially find out Friday if I was successful. I hope so it will certainly boost my mindset! Just need to wait and see
Good luck…happy to give you a reference if you need it & im sure many others on here will do the same!!
Didn’t keen an eye on this thread while I was away (in case I drunkenly posted something that only sounded right in my head!) but this was a great thing to see when I opened it Hope you were successful with the job, but even if not you’ve definitely been successful with opening up about a difficult subject and making positive steps yourself to improve things. You deserve a huge amount of credit for that. Maybe this job, maybe a different one, but you’re definitely on the right path. Well done
I didn't receive the feedback today as expected. Probably will be Monday now. Or maybe I wasn't lucky? Who knows but either way I'm pleased I was invited for one immediately after applying. I sent a thank you email yesterday, people have told me to always send a thank you email for the interview the following day and reiterate my interest. Not sure if you all do that?
I think a thank you email is a good call. Shows keenness and just general good manners which can’t be underestimated in what people often look for
I've recently got a new job. Had a job interview yesterday and now I've got it. Just need to complete some tests to gauge my level and then they'll sort out a start date. Things really are starting to come up Millhouse
