I think it's pretty obvious that Tan wasn't telling us the whole truth about Giles (and nor should we expect him to be). It was a really weird few lines about him. Saying he should be respecting us and focusing on playing. And then he's in the starting lineup an hour or two after Tan is saying that about him? Bizarre state of affairs.

When did Kesler ever say Boro aren’t interested? From what I’ve heard from Kesler, Boro have shown interest but we don’t really want to sell.

Unless boro want to pay us what it cost us, tell them to **** off.

And Giles will just have to suck it up until such a time that we get the offer we want.

I’ve seen Giles at Reading and on Saturday and both times, IMO, he showed he wasn’t that interested (see also Morgan Whittaker for Plymouth yesterday). There’s not much point keeping him if that’s the case, my guess is that we’ve retained him until we sign his replacement, which has now happened in the shape of Millar.

Giles could just knuckle down, perform and the offers will come in Jan.

    Win win and all that.

He did specifically answer "no" when asked "have Boro made a bid".

Are we not in the market for wingers so we can play them as wingers and have Giles play/cover as a left back.

I felt a little sorry for him slatting he got for his performance on Saturday. I mean he was gash but he was playing out of position.

I rewatched some of the match and kept a close eye on Giles body language and I couldn't see a problem at all.

I agree, he isn’t a lw, he hasn’t got the ability to take anyone on. Best he can do is the overlap, plus if you see Jacob in your position. It’s got to be heartbreaking

Isn't that by necessity as we've **** all wingers. I don't think (my opinion) he been played as a LW because he thinks Jacobs is the better LB he just thinks he do the better of the two as LW. (all assumption on my part).

Not sure he would be back up but I'd like to think Walter will have them fighting for places once he has options.

If a player says they want to leave then we should respect that immediately try to sort them a move to their club of choice…apparently <doh>

At least Whittaker played....Jonathan Rowe refused to put his boots on for the Budgies at Oxford. Said he wasn't in the right frame of mind....I could have used that one when I was working...now retired.

I’m not in the right frame of mind, but if you could still pay me. That would be great, thank you

Conflicting reports about Rowe. Some came out saying it was coaches decision now

Hughes at Wigan wasn't in the right frame of mind either. But their manager brought him on as a sub and he subsequently stunk the place out, being at fault for the goal they conceded and ultimately lost to.

When I was a paper boy I used to have running battles with a red faced toothless window cleaner from Norwich v late 60’s - he was a proper bumpkin . Great when I went see City at Carrow Rd for our 3-0 cup win , I was about 16 then , still took the p*** out of him later . Just thought I’d return the topic to its rightful one - because you can apparently just scroll on - if you are annoyed - scroll on guys - not a murmur from ya !

I think if Middlesborough makes a decent bid and he wants out, Tan will let him go. Fair enough.
