I don't get why there's so much desire to sign a striker on loan who either hasn't played pro football, or hasn't done anything in the league below...like Burstow.
Looks like he’s moving away from wherever he rented in Sutton Coldfield rather than moving to a new place. He’d had plenty of sightings in Birmingham over summer which had the blues fans thinking he was going back to them

Scarlett is quick and wants to run in behind, good finisher. He’s not got much hold up play and he’s not the biggest. Don’t think he suits our system. Think he would be a strange loan signing, wouldn’t be against signing him permanently as a development option. we need someone we can clip a long ball up to occasionally to beat a high press. Don’t think that suits Scarlett, in the same way that it doesn’t seem to suit Rusyn thus far. Think we’ll see Rusyn against Preston and would love a good performance from him.
If we’re loaning from Spurs then Lankshear would be my choice. Scarlett has looked absolute pap the few times I’ve seen him.
That sentence fills me with a bit more positivity about the signing. Held my tongue on it earlier as don't have much positive to say on Scarlett but wouldn't mind it in that scenario. As long as Mayenda still gets minutes it's fine.
Sunderland are now interested in taking him on loan. Early summer interest was registered in teammate Will Lankshear as well, although we understand it’s Scarlett who is preferred at this stage due to him already playing senior football.

Loans should be for stand out "can't afford" players imo. I'd rather we developed our own and concentrated on a first team ready striker.
He’ll know mundle Clarke and cirkin though so might help him settle better here…. the biggest straw clutch ever I know
