Cameron Archer, Tom Cannon or Jay Stansfield are still my preferences. All would be loans unless we make a sale. And even then I think Archer would be out of reach

I think he is. I really like Hume who is probably better defensively but Huggins gives us loads going forward. Was a truly awful injury he got

I think Ryan Hardie would be one of those kind of players that can’t replicate the kind of form anywhere else apart from in that Plymouth side, same as @Scout73 really, just haven’t been overly impressed but looking forward to him joining someone like Burnley and banging in 20+ goals to prove me wrong.

I'd sign a centre half and let O'Nien cover those positions

He first impressed me in League 1 against us. Was like watching Ross Stewart in terms of his game style. Probably saw 10 games in League 1 with him and 5 last season. Always like his contribution. He can be struggling to contribute in the box but he always males defenders uncomfortable. Not guilty of the 1 game view, never would be tbh.

Not for me, O'Nien was excellent yesterday and is perfectly suited to our style of play. Him and Ballard are very good together as the stats show from last season.

Let's not open this can of worms again though :emoticon-0100-smile

Only if the centre back is of the quality of Ballard.

I think 09 would get rinsed at full back by some of the wingers in this league.

    Think they sell Madueke.

Daft decision as he was looking quality but he wants to play.

Maybe both. Think they might give him another year though cos he did bag a few as season went on.

Don’t think he’s a PL player mind, can see why he did well in Spain.

He would shocking in our new system, Le Bris wants our defenders to be comfortable dropping with the striker n goong man vs man - egan struggles with this

If we were to play a back 3 that wants to play in a low block then Egan would be ideally. Egan struggles in a back 4, thats why hes spent most of his career playong in a back 3.

Our CBs seem to be pushing up higher now n being aggressive when opponents drop deeper (rather than passong them on), this suits o9 alese in particular. Probablt doesnt suit ballard as much but feel hes so talented that he will still be class in the system

I'm not sure he would. I think maybe you're reading too much into systems and how we're going to play.

I don’t know if people noticed yesterday but we seemed to be playing Patterson in more of a sweeper role? Didn’t look overly comfortable with it either, might be something worth keeping an eye on over the next few weeks/January.

Same here. Hardie has a good scoring record and obviously did well at the SOL but when I've seen him on the box he hasn't impressed. He seems to lack work rate and when a lot of our game will be a high, hard working press I don't think he'd fit. I felt yesterday Mayenda didn't work hard enough on the press and Rusyn was more effective when he came on with regard the press. It will be interesting to see how he does this afternoon.

Def not reading too much into it, Egan struggles defending in a back 4 - we wont play a back 3 so therefore i wouldnt sign him

Cant sign a player if they arent going to fit into a system and i just dont Egan fits into our system at all. Had a cracking career but dont think hes been great last couple of yrs

He would def bring leadership qualities to the squad
