I see Mitchell is getting mixed reviews on the no-life forum. Marks are generally 6s and 7s so not great, but not bad either - certainly better than what you had after Innis.
On a serious note - how was your journey Dick? Lots of reports this morning of pubs full of football supporters being targeted by the lefty loon demonstrations -especially in the Northern and Midlands areas - they are playing a very very dangerous game. https://x.com/NickBuckleyMBE/status/1822559093573259454?t=zj3H97b4vCwfm-IWEH8KOQ&s=19
I don't think posts from X (Twitter) should be appearing here as 'evidence' of anything. Content from that platform is toxic in the extreme. It's your call @Dick Plumb1 But I'm asking you if you can set a rule for the future here. I have not posted any link to a BBC News website article since I returned to the forum last week. And I would be happy never to post one again here in the interests of harmony in this community. In return I request that no links be posted by any members to social media content which is likely to create divisions here.
@lardiman - we are all adults here. By all means delete posts that others may find offensive(I don't see how this post could be deemed offensive) but isn't constructive debate the only way people will get passed divisions?
I have no problem with constructive debate. But I fear we may have different notions on what constructive debate is. Lefty loon demonstrations Playing a very dangerous game Anti-English (used in the X post) These are not constructive in my opinion. They are potentially divisive. I won't comment further on this - as I absolutely do not wish to re-open the wounds that I myself was partly responsible for inflicting on this forum only eight days ago. A position on this matter is no longer my call. I have simply made a request. I will completely support whatever @Dick Plumb1 decides is best going forward, for the good of our whole community here.
That's fair enough - I didn't look at or post on the thread you mentioned. I posted the clip for the visual content - not what was being said - I have not read any of the comments below it.
I am at a Play in London at the moment. Will address it when I get back. Frankly I could do without the hassle.
No hassle. I didn't mean to spoil your day out. Had I known you weren't around I wouldn't have drawn your attention to this. No urgent action is needed. Just perhaps some policy guidance for the future, as & when convenient. Have a good day.
You should join Twitter Lardi - you’d love it. It’s full of people at both extremes of the debate, calling each other cvnts 24/7
I am not for censorship per se but as TC says we are all adults. If I find that people post something that is defamatory, racist or offensive I will delete it. We are at an interval atm. Say more later.
No problem @Dick Plumb1 enjoy the rest of the show. And I'll have no problem with whatever you decide. Should it remain OK for members to post links to social media posts, that's fine. I'm not going to spit my dummy out if my earlier request is declined. I know you'll always act for the good of the forum. As you and TC have both said, we're all adults
I was on Twitter for years but got fed up being followed by computer-generated scantily-clad young ladies, so logged ahrt last week. I know I'm a handsome devil but I can’t help feeling somewhere in the cloud is somebody on the scam.
