Silver in artistic swimming. GB’s first medal in this event. Am I a hypocrite for supporting this event and not breaking…just because we won a medal. You bet…what you going to do about it Really want to know where they get their totally waterproof makeup.
I always enjoy the Olympics. French made some cock ups, but in general I loved it. I will miss it….what am I going to do from early morning till 10 now. A bad Olympics was Los Angeles. Strangely Americans couldn’t organise anything. The British team had to hijack a bus once because they employed drivers who didn’t know where the venues were!!!
Sifan Hassan was incredible before this Olympics, but what she’s achieved in this one is unheard of. It’s frankly absurd! Nobody else would even have attempted what she has and she’s medaled in all 3 events finishing with gold on the toughest Olympic marathon course and only having won bronze in the 10,000m 36 hours before the start of the marathon. Superhuman
I'm not disagreeing, but I don't see much of a difference between competitive dancing (of which there are a lot of competitions worldwide) and diving, figure skating or rhythm gymnastics tbh.
Georgia Bell’s bronze medal in the 1500m seems to have slipped under the radar a bit, which is surprising considering that she set a new GB record of 3.52.61 and took 4 seconds off her previous personal best. Outstanding.
Bronze in women’s weightlifting. Only 2 countries have more medals than us, but we are in 7th because light on golds.
LA Olympics to include lacrosse, cricket, baseball, flag football (???) and canoe slalom. Breaking is not Ah, flag football is American football without tackling. Wonder what country will get the gold there
Apparently it is a growing game even in uk. Who knew? Gets rid of all that stupid armour and wrestling that American football has. Let’s hope there is also more active play as well
