1. Pandur, credit to the fella, showed his ability when it matters 2. Jones, steady without being outstanding 3. Millar, looking forward to watching him this season
For startersI hate 12.30 ko's. We started well then faded, and to be honest I could see very little differance this season to last, just less quality on the ball and no Seri. Try as we did by continually giving Bristol the ball back they couldn't score. We could have been a couple up before they got a sweat on but to be fair at half time it could have 2-4, maybe more. We were worse in the second half and gifted Bristol chance after chance, people say Pandur had a good game, where as I thought he was liabilty. Of course they eventually scored a comic goal. A dreadful goal, and it was embarressing to watch the ball trickle over the line. Our subs did have an impact, we even got into their penalty area a couple of times and eventually were awarded a penalty. It looked like a stonewaller and Oscar despatched it cleanly. 1-1. fair result? Maybe. But for me, not impressed. 1. Jones 2. Amur 3. Miller ( the bloke with the white hair and No7 on his back who came on as a late sub) ...
Pandur Millar Jarvis It really wasn't very good. But I'm sure we'll improve massively as this month progresses.
Good summary TT....With some criticism flying in my general direction from one poster over my 'negativity'. Its nice to read a fellow traveller shares a similar viewpoint. It's not being negative for the sake of it, its been sadly realistic.
I think Pandur. Huge credit to him. Poor preseason and gave a great performance. Really pleased for him
Pandur Millar Jarvis The defenders can't seem to contribute to the build up play how we want them to yet. That applies to all of them unfortunately. Thought Giles played well enough, can definitely provide a striker with service. Did Slater play?
Pandor ... Surprised after the pre season he had. He wrote something on the right goalpost with his fingertips at the beginning of the second half, don't know what that was about? Coyle ... Still Mr reliable. Millar ... Definitely made an impact. Looking forward to him being a great addition.
A cross, probably catholic or a superstition (or both). Allsop used to have his own routine as well (but not religious).
Simons Pandur* Miller *didn't watch much of pre season and avoided forming an opinion until I saw him myself. Didn't do much wrong for me 8/10
They have updated stats, I'd like to change my vote to Jarvis 7.6 - 5 points Simons 7.2 - 3 points Mahlem 7.1 - 1 point
Couldn’t agree more. Missed the game but watched the full 90 minutes today so I could view it without the emotion of a live game. I just thought we were shocking. Spent an hour, it seemed, vainly try to get out of our own half. Early days I know but ****ing hell, it was poor. If that penalty hadn’t gone in I’m sure everyone would have a much more jaundiced opinion of that performance.
