Thought Roberts was a positive today. Looked a lot leaner, fitter and sharper. One of those goals that he doesn’t get the assist but it was his great cross that got the first goal. Huge addition if we get the Mowbray version of Roberts rather than last seasons.

Watched the game live here and my apologies if any of this is repeated as usual I’m behind the curve catching up.
The words that come to mind about the performance are compact, composed and comfortable.
We didn’t really open up a lot for them. Defensively a very good away performance. We never seemed rushed and just went about our game. Even going into the latter part of the game and they had a bit more possession I felt if there was another goal we would get it.
On individual performances to me Mayenda did well and there’s a player in there. Physically and the tempo of the game he needs time to adept. He snatched at a couple but it will come.
Brown did what we brought into do. Looks a great signing!
Jobe and Roberts seemed to step it up a pace level which I liked.
I would like to see at times during the game Jack and Paddy swop wings. Even for 10 minute spells.
Cirkin makes a difference at both ends of the pitch for us. Great to see him back as he brings a different dynamic to us.
I thought overall that was a top six of the league performance today. Well done lads and especially RLB. Great start 45 to go!!!

Thought we were comfortably the better team throughout, not sure what game their coach was watching.

Posts like this is one of my reasons to like the match day threads mate.
Especially when I miss the fookers :emoticon-0148-yes: <laugh>

It's a great result I think. Cardiff finished above us last season, first game and away. And yet to sign a striker.
We've brought some players on leaps and bounds last few seasons within the new regime.
Hopefully mayenda is one of them.
    Young lad and needs nurturing.

they thought it was a foul when in reality it was exactly the same as numerous tackles they put in during the game.

simply doing what football fans do, looking for an excuse for the defeat

Just watched the highlights to see ...

... the Cardiff lad deliberately goes down expecting the referee to fall for it <laugh>

    Nice watch that.

I wanted to see RLB at the front with the players.

    Aye, that was the one.

Jobe won it back, and gave it to Clarke who did the rest.

Agree with this. I thought Browne seemed to get in those connect and combine areas that helps Roberts massively. Hes a class act!

I couldn't believe how empty and quiet their ground was for the 1st home game of the season.

No just watched it on the TV but there was hardly any noise until halfway through the 2nd half. And loads of empty seats.

Actually I'm not sure that's true. We lost 0-4 there in the Grayson/Coleman relegation season. Ndong got sent off
