Looked much more threatening in these last 15 mins, things just not dropping for us. Alfie Lloyd, Varane and Bennie look like positive additions.
Relax everyone. First day of the season is always odd. Judge them after a dozen games then panic. Signings to come and Chair to come back. Varane looked quite good.
Poor showing from most, looked better after the substitutions, but need a swift kick up the arse from Marti before Tuesday
The keeper is infinitely better with the ball than Begovic Salter strong as ever. Goals didn’t seem to be his fault and Nesta would struggle next to Paal. My breakfast was really good so I’ll go there again
Unfortunate for the lad conceding 3 on his league debut Paal seems to be at fault from what I've read on here
Absolutely diabolical defensive performance from the entire back line. No closing down or weak tackles allowing crosses to come in and beaten in the air way too easily. Maja scored 1 goal all last season and already has 3 this ! Midfield dominated after first 20 miins and Smyth is ****ing awful. Why Santos didn't start on that side I don't know. Celar did an excellent Dykes impression, but got hardly any service, Frey looked like me infront of goal when he came on, awful. We looked so different to the side that finished last season, very depressing. Last 10 mins better but the game had already gone. We badly need some players in else we're gonna be in trouble !
Andersen's goal and our only effective attacking player. Varane did well when he came on. Frey wasn't great, should have probably scored but he at least made his presence felt in their box when he came on. He didn't get much opportunity but I saw nothing from Celar
