Should we go for Sessegnon?

  1. I've read a load of comments from Sunderland fans and a lot of news articles, saying Sess is unsettled at Sunderland and is frustrated because they have had a **** start to the season and because the way they play doesn't suit him ect.

Should be stick a 5-6m bid in?

One of his best mates is HBA, and since there are quite a few Frenchies in our team, I'm sure he could feel a bit more secure in the team. Sessegnon can play as a support striker or on the wing, so he could be a valuable part of the team, especially since Marv is out for 4 months and maybe longer.

I know we have other positions that we need to be looking at first, but after we have them positions sorted is there any harm in this? Great for squad depth and a great player to have if we're looking to go for Europe.

He wont be guaranteed starts every week, with us looking for a new striker and having Hatem as competition, but I'm sure he could be happy here, and could play a part.

What do you think? I'm pretty sure Sunderland wont ask for too much, seeing as having a player that's obviously unhappy there will hardly help the dressing room. I'm sure Sess will enjoy being around Hatem, Cabaye, Marv and Tiote.

  5. If we give them the right money then why not? It's hardly like he's a legend there, and if he wants out then why not?

    Rather go for Hoillet.

Sess looks like a similar player to Ben Arfa where as Hoillet is more direct.

He's there best player, by a long, long, long way too. They only have one decent, fit striker, atm. It would be the equivalent of us selling HBA to them. For £5-6 million.

  12. Oh yeah, forgot about Hoillet.. I'm probably go for him instead then, but I'd still be happy if we signed Sess.

He's a very good player, nippy and skilful, his end product lets him down though. Seems to be unhappy at Sunderland and we could do worse. Just could never see them selling him to us, especially for £5m.

  15. Hoilett would be better I agree though, I forgot about Hoillet.

Imagine Hoilett and Obertan in the same team? <yikes>

Who's faster out of both of them? They both look rapid!

    Good player. I'd have him.

As for selling, Sunderland probably would sell to us if the price was right. Whilst supporters of Sunderland would be pissed off, I imagine that on boardroom level, where it's purely business, they couldn't give two ****s.

    1) No

    2) We were linked with him before Sunderland and decided not to go for him

    3) PSG fans said he mostly had no end product

    4) Like Sunderland would sell their most skillfull player to their better rivals

    5) He's a poor mans Ben Arfa and it seems (wrongly IMO) hard enough to fit HBA into the first 11.

    He's got nothing we need.
