It's the truth, all of these things, Brexit, Farage, Yaxley-Lenin etc They're all symptoms and until the masses collectivise (right and left) to treat the problem, these symptoms will continue to show themselves. Like it or not, that is what is happening.
I'm not having a go at anyone. My arguments are polite, reasonable and about the topic, not the poster. I, on the other hand, have just had my IQ questioned, been accused of being drunk, senile, angry, etc. It's like an object lesson in how to lose an argument and lash out.
I'll apologise for any offense caused. I would also add that I think you have made a series of classist or verging on classist statements in this thread that can be construed as offensive. I would ask that you mind that verbiage in the future and I will take steps not to offend you also.
The two things are entirely different. You're making personal insults, about my mental capacity and sobriety, without the slightest justification. You know they're offensive which is why you posted them, then tell me I'm the angry man. I'm making honest comments about what I believe. You're wrongly assuming that only people from a certain class are involved with these riots. People like Farage, Robinson, etc, aren't exactly deprived working class people. I'm working class myself and would say the vast majority are decent, honest people ... ... why would I insult my own class, I'm not and you're just making assumptions.
They don't have to be equivalent for them to be presented here. In my mind you are a big fella, probably in your 60's living life out in sunny France, enjoying a Pinot Grigio or two, scratch that a Chablis or two. Enjoying a glass of wine isn't actually an accusation of lack of sobriety. As far as I'm aware, Farage and Yaxley-Lenin haven't been involved in the riots other than the latter recording mugshots of himself shouting into a phone, which he does all the time anyway. All I'm saying is, please be mindful that it comes across sometimes that you're mocking caricatures of the working class and that can be offensive.
Don’t we have a lot of accommodation readily available in Rwanda? I’m sure it’s paid for and not being used for anything else. Can we send the ringleaders and worst offenders over there? Now wouldn’t that be ironic?
Not the worst idea. A million English lads 18-30 all sent to Rwanda. They will all need local women to stretch and will also have to set up a few breweries as well. Chaos ensues as Rwanda agrees to pay the UK £1.3B to take them back.
I don't need to be reminded and I'm 100% certain I've never once, on any thread, said anything offensive about the working class. You're making two assumptions. Firstly that these rioters are all working class and secondly that I'm insulting them all. I haven't, since this started, insulted the protesters or yourself, only the rioters. I don't see anything I should apologise for tbh. Making assumptions upon which you then attack me is wrong especially when you're accusing me of doing that. And, seriously, don't backtrack and pretend you were making a pleasant quip about a glass of wine. If you're going to say something you should have the wherewithal to stand up for it. You haven't said whether you support the rioters, have been on the streets yourself, believe the sentences are harsh, etc etc etc. Communication is about clarity, not riddles and internet buzzwords I've never heard of. Anyway, that's my last word on this, I'll stick to the thread topic if you don't mind.
You've misread the quip drastically here. The accusation, if there is one, wasn't of drunkenness, but perhaps of being a big fella, sitting in the French sunshine, ordering some crudites with your wine. EDIT Perhaps you're not aware, that to people younger than yourself, this is a type of expat stereotype. EDIT Bucket hat, garish shirt, white socks pulled up.
As I said "a clown". You might want to think of the assumptions that people on here think of you after you've embarrassed yourself
I’m going to remind brb to bring Blonde back. This board looks like it could do with a boost and a feel good factor after reading this.
The offenders sent down for offences committed on social media have been for encouraging attacks on people in hotels and for the hotels to be set on fire, for example. These were "just words" but then the Labour councillor you wanted arrested came out with "just words". The Labour councillor you confidently predicated wouldn't be arrested because he isn't far right who has instead been arrested.
OK, you seem to want to carry this on. You often question people's IQ, mental capacity, etc. You've pulled me, and others, up regularly for making assumption and deriding the working class. When you lose your arguments you either lash out with personal insults or post a joke/clip/photo and vanish for a while. You never give a straight answer and ignore anything too difficult for you. Here's a clip of someone truly, and roundly, deriding the working class, what are your comments about this. (Ignore the spelling mistakes and dreadful grammar.) "No one enjoys or aspires to high culture, our IQ is dropping, unless something drastic happens we’re go down watching down syndrome twerking on BGT. Whilst those who rule over us laugh all the way to the bank at our expense."
You don't need to, he's back and has been for some time. Why would there be a feel good factor on a thread about the murder of children and the subsequent riots. As you were, there's a good lad.
Your assumptions are all wrong, if you don't get a reply it's because you do not deserve one, I do not owe you a response, a retort, an insight into my thoughts or opinions, this is a football forum, I can choose to engage with whatever I find interesting enough to engage with. And I told you, I am undefeated in debate, never a single blow landed. All of those things are relevant to the working class and betterment of us, I'm not clear on what point you're making on the last part.
