Used to go regularly, and always stayed at the Raddisson Decent spot. Been a while to be fair, although feedback would be good as we’re back there later in the year. Dishoom is always a safe bet for food, and great for brunch too, although the Indian choices in Brum are vast so you might want to avoid a chain. I used to go to the Indian Brewery Company a fair bit, which had great food, served simply, and cracking beers, but I think it’s moved now (?) Personally I like the area round Brindley Place. Nothing flash, Alchemist, All Bar One etc, but normally quite a nice vibe. Daughter used to live and work at the Malt house just over the canal from there. Used to like the Living Room but it’s closed now (in unrelated news I have a feeling they are missing a very nice champagne bucket…) Used to like The Old Joint Stock for a boozer. Really interesting interior and great beer. Had some not great food there once but that was a decade or more ago, and as a pub I think you’ll like it (it’s on a nice square near the Cathedral and just down from The Ivy) There’s always the champagne bar in Selfridges of course. I left the Mrs and my Daughter in there when we were playing Villa away and I nipped down on the train. Pricey afternoon! Enjoy wherever you go. I like Birmingham
The local Mosque had the courage to go and apologise, with one of the delegation agreeing to pay for all the damage.
I've just been channel hopping and Family Guy is on ITV2. I'm not a fan but couldn't help but notice they were sat having dinner with the Simpsons. In the Simpsons house. And then, Bob from Bob's Burgers appeared. What the frig is going on? I'm very confused!
I expect the local community leaders and their families have had a "word" with the young people who did it already. I can't prove it but I wouldn't be surprised.
My first thought was 'have I put the wrong mushrooms in my tea' but it was actually happening. Bizarre.
A high volume of verified information still wouldn’t stop people making things up on social media, but I know what you mean.
The stuff online which sent everyone into a panic about there being 100 targets was shown to be a hoax. Fortunately the SWP was on hand at the places to hand out their placards to those who turned up to oppose any others turning up. Coincedence? Hmmmm…
Friend of a friend handed their son in at Clough Road nick last night, apparently the place was full of parents doing the same thing. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
