What if RLB wants him? People wants Dodds to remain in his position “if the manager is happy with it” so surely same logic applies for players?
Pleased for Embo. Had to leave to get some first team football, and joins a club where he enjoyed playing on loan. Hope he gets over his injury issues. I think that he’s championship quality if he does.
It may well be that RLB is having a good look at D&P before deciding whether he needs to bring others in. A sensible approach in my view, given the relationship which must exist between D&P and the players.
Good luck Embo, will always be remembered fondly for that goal. Hope he has a great career and is injury free. He's had wrotten luck.
RLB managing abroad in a different language for the first time. Having a couple of experienced coaches who know the club/league could be an asset. Wise to watch their work first hand and make your own mind up imo
Great to see fans rooting for his success upon departure, enjoyed watching him play when he did and forever grateful for THAT goal... limbs!
Really can’t see that being the case the lad struggled here and the way the 2nd half of last season went it just wouldn’t be a good fit for all concerned
All strikers struggled here because those managing them were useless at adapting, as were the players around them. Strikers score goals when they’re given chances and ours just weren’t. Rarely put balls into the box, rarely played balls in behind, wingers never lifting their head just running down the wing then cutting in. All of the blame can’t lie with the strikers,
Yes me too. I am also uneasy we have taken so long and as it stands we are looking to go into the first game with Dodds and Proctor having senior input on the front bench.
They're not doing it completely benevolently either so, another thing that's being wilfully ignored, is that we're paying good, competitive salaries for top end Championship players. Not bad for a penny pinching owner doing things on the cheap..
I suspect this suits Speakman as much as anybody. Could easily undermine the manager and guess what if it goes badly we are back to Dodds and Proctor guiding us towards the relegation zone like they do best.
