This is absolutely brilliant from the BBC website, game over now I think <laugh>

"A woman in her 70s waved her stick at a group of young men wearing balaclavas, telling them everyone was welcome in Blackpool regardless of the colour of their skin. Most of the protestors have now gone and a small police presence remains."

Very, very heartening this evening to see so many standing up to these fascist morons.

Plus by all accounts with almost no violence - because the "master race" shat themselves and ran away :1980_boogie_down:

So was the 100 protests/riots that were planned actually counter protests? I haven’t seen much in the way of any rioting this time round but plenty of counter protest vids

Well it was saying yesterday there was going to be 100 protests, 70 more than expected. But there hasn’t much on social media of pissed plebs destroying the streets it’s all anti-protest stuff so maybe that’s what was meant? Seems like there was a hell of a turn out fair play to those involved. I’d given blood in Newcastle yesterday so I drove through both Denton Burn and Newcastle where two protests were meant to be and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Staff in there were telling me last donation was brought forward to 4:30pm as they were closing early because of expected bother mind.

It was reported as a continuation of the riots from the Farage worshipping anti-immigration freedom fighters ...

... local people just had an evening stroll and a bit of a chit chat.

That was enough to frighten the mobs away <laugh>

    Correct. However
Correct. However, if the right’s modus operandi is to strike unexpectedly to cause as much mayhem as possible, then the leaking of their riot plans (makes you wonder why the previous ones weren’t headed off earlier as the instigators would have been having their comms monitored) may have had them do a rethink and not run away. I am concerned there are more twists and turns to this yet.

Great to see what happened last night in Newcastle (and various other cities)

I think drilling the message home that they are a massive minority is key to everything. The balance is never there cos the bigots shout louder, and without being disrespectful, people with less intelligence and direction are easier swayed and mislead.

What still needs to happen, for the good of the country and its future, is for planned protests against the continuation of corporate greed and protection, of people starving and homeless while individuals stockpile billions.

We need a multi functional society. There are people who do jobs that I couldn’t for less pay, and the same for more pay. We all need each other.

We can’t let this mess go to waste. I’m delighted that the madness has stopped but while it’s fresh in memory we need people to step forward and press for answers as to what brought us here, and what is the new government going to do to address it.

The answers are there for all to see, just needs some bravery to start the ball rolling. The fear is Starker has already shown he is quicker going backwards than a crab starved to a firework.

**** his pants about a Monday off for the Euros so god knows where he will hide from actual issues.

Was giving it the big un about Monday off if we got to Euros final then went radio silent on it when we did.

Didn’t even come out and say ‘we can’t do that at such short notice as could damage businesses and the economy’, just disappeared back up his own arse for a kip.

Don’t get me started on taking money away from pensioners rather than Billionaire businesses in one of the first acts…

    (I voted Labour)

We’ll not talk about misinformation when he’s managed to pull the wool over his voters eyes by convincing them all he’s magically discovered a £20bn black hole :emoticon-0102-bigsm
