it’s almost as if the very late leak of the poveda move has pissed them off resulting in some strong internal conversations about leaks and the shutters have come down well either that or we haven’t actually got any irons in the fire transfer wise

Don’t think anyone whatsoever has said that the signings we’ve made are ****e because they’re free? Or I certainly can’t remember a single comment from anyone saying that. But if you say you’re going to get promoted quickly we all know the common way to do that is to throw money at it, something we aren’t prepared to do so what’s the point in saying it? If you had a budget of £20m for arguments sake and signed a player that you valued at £10m on a free, would you then only have a budget of £10m remaining?

No, you'd be really glad you'd got £10m of assets for nothing and consider whether the £10m saved could be invested elsewhere in the business
