I think Zakanye (sp?) could have four yellows by now!

I have played in matches like this. Incredibly emotionally draining. These boys will have a come down after.

If Martin/SR even think of flogging Charlie I'll be ****ing fuming. Yeah he'll probably get sent off now and again but at least he cares

In a way its good to be playing a genuinely competitive match, I just hope we avoid any injuries as a result.

Lazio should be 3-1 up if they had taken their open goals. But we have competed.

Always need a bit of fight, spirit and fire and all that jazz occasionally. Players like Alcaraz are exactly the sort of player fans love to see.

Charly looked like a man on a mission the whole game. He got taken out as he went into the box about two minutes before he got sent off. I think he was pissed off!

I have only seen the last 20 mins or so, but Bree has looked surprisingly good, as has Edwards and Charles.

I thought Wood was pick of the defenders tonight. Lazio ruined this as a football match so hard to tell too much from the game.

I think we played well for 15. Lazio got pissed off. The ref didn’t book anyone. Tempers started rising. Lazio got on top and scored.

Second half it exploded and the football match died.

Pleased with that result and performance. Despite Lazio being a typical sly, niggly, s**t housing side, Saints stood up to them and deserved a draw. Thought Lazio should have won, but missed a few sitters. Be interesting to hear RM view of the game.

Still too many wayward passes from Charles for my liking.

We really should have lost that and although it wasn’t our top back line, the ease with which Lazio were able to play the ball in behind for runners from deep was a worry.
Yet again, all our positive, going forward rather than backwards, play was generated by the kids.
Edozie did well and caused them problems, although he seems to be learning from Aribo as there were times when he didn’t seem to know what his legs were doing.
The issue with the passing out from the back, Macca and the defenders, was not so much the accuracy of the passing but the lack of weight in the pass. There was not enough zip which just allowed Lazio to step in front of the receiving player.

Desperately need a number 9 still as well.

Mara had his best game for us but we still offer very little threat or movement in the final third.

I think that is because he tries to go forward when he receives it rather than just a wall pass back to the defence every time. He plays a higher risk, higher reward game in the middle, which I quite like to see - until it gos wrong and they score

No it wasn't. Charly was our best player until the red card. BBD scored our goal from being direct and cutting inside. SAA and Edozie did well, but it wasn't just the youngsters being positive.

That's a positive spin but I can't agree. He is a bad passer, full stop. Even his sideways passes often miss their mark. Shame cos he's decent enough otherwise.
