Toxic as it’s ever been on there, you either think Speakman and KLD are the anti christ or you’re a happy clapper, there is no middle ground

With EE leaving we'll have 30 players including 3 goalkeepers. If 7 above leave that'll have us very stretched . Then down to 23 players ? Injuries mustn't be overlooked and we currently have 3 out at the moment. During a season that easily could be 6 out long and short term. What's the match day squad 18-20 ? I'm not sure .
Back to that potential 7 to leave , most of them are mentioned by most fans, how are they to be replaced. ? There's a bid for Mendy we can say is concrete but after that ? Will those 7 mentioned raise much cash if they were sold ? I can see us holding out for Mendy and a few on loan at best. Maybe things will change but it needs to hot up from here. No doubt many fans are frustrated.

Wherever he goes it’s worth sticking a fiver on them going up, Sunderland, Plymouth and Oxford (barely featured there but I’m counting it) back to back

Thanks mate, I went for a look like the Victorians used to pay to see the lunatics at Bedlam Asylum.

Dear me, some of them aren't content to simply put a comment on one of the endless suicidal threads ...

... they have to post a thread, all of their own, saying exactly what's already been posted.

That board used to be a real laugh and full of interesting threads <doh>

    "Expect a **** start.........to the season......

"Then expect things to get worse, we are no better off than we were last season."

Don't think Jewi and Matete would need replacing, think Mendy would replace Hemir, Pembele would need replacing, Anderson and Triantis could be replaced by 1 player. Rusyn is probably the least likely to leave on that list and would need to be replaced.

the fact when they sold Stewart but did not sign Simms was a big mistake is Speakman any good at all at his job ? Rusyn is another Will grigg, other clubs buying strikers so why the hell can we not ? no scouts is one reason for this, i worry about the last transfer deadline day on who else will be leaving, O Nein needs to be shifted out of defence, they need to train on corners, and free kicks more, and put in some sliding tackles and defenders stop ball watching and jump in to block shots more, this is going to end bad for us, either they start spending or get out before it is too late this club has been run terrible for 60 years.

Didn't want to come to Sunderland ...

... Newcastle have been on a worse run for longer btw, we've won the FA Cup since they last did in the 1950's.

Had we signed Mendy at the beginning of July as we almost did, this would have been our best transfer window in years. Great balanced squad with many to go out on loan. The club have been a bit unlucky with the Mendy saga and hopefully it gets resolved soon. People wetting the bed because they are worried about CDM (Neil is gonna play there), CB (L09 has been playing at CB since Dion Sanderson’s loan and has been excellent), back up right back (Pembele is struggling but might come good, Huggins back hopefully soon, L09/Seelt/Triantis/Johnson even Browne can play there if need be). Have some bloody faith and get behind the lads on Saturday.

I feel so inadequate compared to people on there.

Not only can they state categorically how good/bad a coach like Dobbs or Proctor is ...

... they can judge the capabilities of a COO as quickly as you or I could judge a chocolate biscuit <laugh>
