If it was me in charge of the country I'd get the army in to kick the goons to ****, they won't turn up at another one. Just received an all staff email from work, i work in Jesmond telling everyone to leave now as its kicking off in Westgate road & rumoured to be starting in Cowgate as well. Total scum these people.
Is anything actually going on in Sunderland? Lots of rumours but not seen any photos yet etc and you would expect that based on the last few days. The rioters are too thick to realise filming themselves is a bad idea.
Anyone arrested now has very little defence. Previously they could plead they'd gone out to peacefully protest and were caught up in a riot ... ... they're now virtually guilty of 'riotous assembly' as soon as they arrive. Some people going along to gawp will be wrongfully charged and convicted. What a shame, never mind.
