You could turn out to be right or wrong, time will play out then we'll know. Having stood and listened to Wilby (didn't like him from the off as he mentioned playing at the Boulevard, and took the piss out of the few of us that had bought a season pass) and Buchanan who barefaced lied, I'm of the 'fool me once brigade' and don't fully trust any owner. Acun told us his businesses are on fire, time for some more logs on our fire. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Sorry, a follow up question (I'm trying to get my head around the logic, because there must be some)... Do you think we're going to bring a load of dross in instead then? Or float good names around and then not bother bringing any of them in, ie; intentional smoke and mirrors? To what end? I can't get my head around why people still think the club would purposefully talk big and then deliberately do the exact opposite and have us struggle to stay up.
To appear ambitious and trying. But falling short. Enough in squad to keep us competitive enough to stay in the Championship... ...which in turn keeps our value for a sale.. I don't believe that personally.
We'd be worth close to **** all if we have a **** squad and close to relegation compared to a decent one challenging for play-offs
Or if we were a premier league team. I assumed that was always the ambition/goal. Due to the stadium 'issue' the club is largely just worth the value of its 'assets', a bunch of prem players being worth a lot more than lower end champs players.
The eleven that played Reading would be relegated. Opinion. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Facts are things that are proved, your statement is supposition and opinion. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
'Would' being the key word there, because as I seemingly have to say again, it's a statement made under the assumption we're not going to add to the squad despite the fact we clearly are.
You seem to have a problem with people stating the bleedin' obvious, ie that the recruitment since Tim arrived has been shambolic. Tim's alluded to it and Acun himself has acknowledged it, which is why he flew in from Turkey specifically to address it. We've lost 95% of our goalscoring threat and still haven't signed a striker with the season starting in 3 days. It's not bedwetting nor poodling. It's been a mess but it appears that a corner has been turned, let's leave it at that and see where we end up at the end of the month..
Let's be happy that Q&A happened before Lille game, so Acun was in good mood. They are really roasting him right now in Turkish media.
I find it funny when people say that Hull City fans shouldn't be too critical of Acun or he might leave, it seems like Turkish fans and the Turkish press are brutal. I remember the video of fans ripping down banners of the president with a knife when Fenerbahce came 2nd? last season? Acun must find it very relaxed in England
